In April, Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister of the UK, revealed that the new UK aid package for Ukraine would include millions of ammunition shells, hundreds of vehicles and long-range Storm Shadow missiles.
During his visit to Ukraine in early May, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated that Ukraine has the right to use weapons provided by London to strike targets on Russian territory "just as Russia is striking inside Ukraine" with weapons from Iran or North Korea.

According to the ASTRA Telegram channel Russian aviation has dropped more than 60 FAB aerial bombs and other unidentified munitions on Russian and occupied Ukrainian regions since the end of February, based on its review of local media and other sources. In May alone there have been more than 20 reported incidents.
The FAB series of general-purpose high explosive fragmentation aviation bombs were developed in the Soviet Union in the 1950s and modified to be more streamlined and set-up for carriage on fighter bomber’s external hard points in the 1960s. The FAB-500 contains around 300 kilograms (660 pounds) of explosive and the FAB-250 has 100 kilograms (220 pounds).
The bombs were originally unguided, with a single nose fuse, and compatible with most models of Soviet aircraft. However, since January last year they have been modifying many of these “dumb bombs” by strapping on pop-out wings combined with GPS / or the Russian GLONASS guidance systems to use them as long-range glide bombs.

The Telegraph has seen propaganda material issued by the Tomsk Regional Russian-German House. It bears the entwined flags of Germany and Russia and urges ethnic Germans to donate to the armed forces and attend free pro-war concerts.

Unlike the base in Sevastopol, Novorossiysk is further from Ukraine-controlled territories yet still within reach of Ukrainian long-range strike capabilities which could be the key to explaining this unusual behavior.

On Sunday morning, May 19, explosions rocked Kharkiv. Russian forces attacked the Mala Danylivka community in the Kharkiv region, killing 6 civilians and injuring 27
Around 11:00, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported the explosions in the city.
"A strong explosion in Kharkiv. Be careful!" he warned.
Within 20 minutes, another powerful explosion was reported.
Later, Oleksandr Hololobov, the village head of the Mala Danylivka community, confirmed a hit in the area. He mentioned there were casualties.
In a comment to Suspilne, Hololobov specified that the Russian military struck a summer vacation spot.
Later, Kharkiv's mayor reported that in a suburb, Russians fired two missiles at a recreation center where people were vacationing. Five people were killed and 16 others were injured.
"How many more lives must this ruthless enemy take before the world finally realizes that this is not a war, this is terror? Terror against civilians, against our right to life, against everything human and just. Every missile, every shell, every explosion is a direct violation of all international norms, a crime against humanity," Terekhov wrote.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko clarified that the strikes were aimed at a recreation center on the shore of a reservoir in Kharkiv district. An 8-year-old child was among the injured. A police officer and a paramedic who arrived to help people were also wounded.

Hmmm, ik denk niet zolang Xi er zit. De huidige geopolitieke opstelling van China is voor een groot deel ook te danken aan de bromance tussen Xi en Putin.
Wat ook betekend dat als Xi en China een groter voordeel kunnen halen uit het aanvallen van Rusland zij dit zeker zullen doen.
Uiteraard moet er wel heel veel gaan gebeuren voordat er hier sprake van is.
En dit hoeft natuurlijk niet in de aankomende jaren zo te zijn. Met in de toekomst bedoelde ik laat maar zeggen tussen nu en 50-100 jaar. Ook kun je spoilers niet lezen als je een ban hebt.China vindt het inderdaad wel prima zo. Rusland die op de knieën elke keer weer naar China moet kruipen om weer wat concessies van hun te krijgen. En China die steeds weer het meeste voordeel hier uit weet te halen.
En in de toekomst wanneer China Rusland zwak genoeg acht, zullen zij de relatie met het westen weer verbeteren en mogelijk een oorlog met Rusland beginnen om hun grondgebied af te pakken. En geen haan die daar naar zal kraaien dan.
