Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that his country requires Taurus cruise missiles to defend itself against Russia and that concerns about escalation of the war are unfounded.

Earlier in the Bundestag, there were not enough votes to pass an opposition-introduced resolution calling for the supply of Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine.

At the same time, German MPs backed the governing parties' proposal to aid Ukraine, which included a call to provide Kyiv with long-range systems. The Taurus cruise missiles are not specifically mentioned in the proposal.

Details: According to the German newspaper, an informal group of officers, diplomats and civil servants from the chancellery, finance and economic departments meet in Berlin every two weeks.

They brainstorm which countries to approach seeking aid for Ukraine, which might still have stockpiles of munitions, and how to convince them.

According to government sources, almost any proposal is fair game in these negotiations, regardless of how implausible it may seem at first glance.

India, for example, still has relatively large stockpiles of artillery shells totalling several hundred thousand rounds, according to insiders. But the Indian government, which still maintains cordial relations with Moscow, will not admit to wanting to sell any, if it is indeed willing.

"As a result, covert negotiations are underway to see if the ammunition can be obtained through intermediaries," the article says.

Similar deals, Berlin says, are possible with Arab countries, some of which have large stockpiles. The experts say that there are also states in the Balkans and Africa that still have stockpiles - or may even produce new ammunition.

Background:
In a conversation with Dimytro Kuleba, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell promised to supply Ukraine with almost 170,000 shells by the end of March.

In March 2023, the EU reached an agreement to provide Ukraine with one million rounds of ammunition in a year's time, but did not reach this goal. As of now, the EU has provided 355,000 rounds and plans to provide 1,155,000 by the end of the year.

Earlier this week, the EU's top diplomat sent a letter to the foreign ministers and defence ministers of member states calling for everything possible to be done to provide Ukraine with the ammunition.

The sanctions include an asset freeze and a ban on the provision of funds, and individuals are additionally subject to a travel ban. The list currently includes 233 individuals, including Alexander Lukashenko, and 37 legal entities.

In addition, Belarus remains subject to targeted economic sanctions, including restrictions in the financial sector, trade, dual-use goods, technology and telecommunications, energy, transportation, and others.

• On February 12, the Lithuanian Seimas approved a proposal to extend national sanctions against Russian and Belarusian citizens for another year and to tighten checks on the entry of Belarusians into the country.
• On February 22, the Latvian Saeima passed a decision to ban the import of agricultural products and animal feed from Russia and Belarus.
• On February 22, the Czech government agreed to the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make the ban on issuing visas and residence permits to Russians and Belarusians indefinite.

The International Criminal Tribunal wants her for the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia. Lvova- Belova will receive �420,000 this year, according to documents. The comments column says that the money will be explicitly given 'for the removal of children from the area of the special military operation.' The International Criminal Court, however, considers such actions by Lvova-Belova to be war crimes.

The leak comes from the Russian presidential administration's domestic policy bloc, headed by 61-year-old Sergei Kiriyenko. When he became the youngest prime minister in Russian history in the spring of 1998, he was nicknamed Kinder Surprise for his youth and unpredictability. Now, more than 25 years later, he is called the Viceroy of Donbas because he took over the administration and reconstruction of the occupied territories during the war in Ukraine.

Would you want your home to be protected by the toughest and most effective machine, or would you accept that its fighting qualities are slightly inferior for the sake of the environment?

Because that’s exactly the problem that is being reported in Ukraine. Wires in the new Western military equipment sometimes have natural fibre insulation. For example, the plastic used to insulate wires is sometimes replaced with a corn fibre composite. Its advantages include a more environmentally friendly production process and recycling. Disadvantages – mice somehow smell that natural fibre and want to eat it. It turns out that the defenders of Ukraine have already noticed this. Although it is said that the problem is still rare, this fact itself makes Ukrainians frustrated. Heavy military equipment should not break down due to mice.

This most likely happened because cable and wire loom manufacturers produce cables not only for military equipment, but also cars and other more civilian things.
