The Czech Republic will freeze all property of the Russian Federation, except for diplomatic mission buildings
At a meeting on Wednesday, the Czech government decided to freeze all property owned by the Russian state in the country. The only exceptions will be the building of the Russian Embassy in Prague and four other facilities used by the Russian diplomatic department. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky.
Technically, we are talking about including the Foreign Property Management Enterprise of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation (Roszagranobshchestvo) on the sanctions list maintained by the Czech authorities. According to Lipavsky, this enterprise is a legal entity, from whose income “the Russian regime, which is killing civilians in Ukraine, is financed.”
Bank accounts associated with Russian property will be blocked, and restrictions will be placed on real estate transactions so that it cannot be sold. It is not reported which specific objects we are talking about; according to Lipavsky, they are located in Prague and Karlovy Vary. Persons who have entered into lease agreements with the Russian side will be able to continue to use the premises, but the rent will be paid into special accounts.
Several years ago, the Czech Republic adopted an analogue of the “Magnitsky law”, in accordance with which it can impose sanctions independently against persons not included in the sanctions lists at the EU level. Now there are 7 positions on this list, including Patriarch Kirill, head of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation Boris Obnosov and his relatives.

The Czech initiative ‘Darek pro Putina’ (A Gift for Putin) will raise funds for a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter for Ukraine.
The Initiative representatives stated that fundraising will begin on November 17.
“We would like to buy it and send it to Ukraine to help fight the Russians,” the volunteers said.
This Czech initiative has been raising funds for a long time. Due to raised money, volunteers donated various defense equipment to Ukraine.
The most famous project was the purchase of 15 Viktor anti-aircraft systems.
s part of this initiative, Czech volunteers managed to raise CZK 90 million.
These systems are capable of effectively protecting strategic and civilian targets from kamikaze drone attacks. Viktor anti-aircraft systems are assembled by the Czech company Excalibur Army.
‘Darek pro Putina’ also raised funds for a tank and an RM-70 rocket launcher.
The initiative managed to raise $2.3 million for the project.
It is worth noting that the funds raised usually remain in the Czech Republic and are transferred to Czech defense companies that are already involved in manufacturing weapons for Ukraine.
The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was created by the U.S. Sikorsky company. With no exaggeration, the Black Hawk is a helicopter of the 21st century, even though it is more than 50 years old. As a result of the development of this helicopter, a universal platform for all branches of the armed forces was born.
As previously reported, in Ukraine, the officers of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are using the U.S. Black Hawk multirole helicopter, which is significantly ahead of the Soviet analogs Mi-8 and Mi-24 in almost all specifications.

Laatst kwam er al een bericht langs dat mensen met schulden het leger in moesten. Ik mag hopen dat ze van hun schulden afkomen hiermee. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin previously signed a law in December 2022 that fully or partially froze debt repayments for Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine. However, payments would resume 30 days after a soldier stopped fighting.
Moskalkova said, "When they return, they will have to pay. And we must understand that, firstly, this is unfair, and secondly, this, of course, can give rise to social tension.”
According to Russia's Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), more than 300,000 payments were suspended over the whole of 2022 and 125,000 in the first half of 2023.
The suspension did not apply to alimony claims.
There have been suggestions of a looming crisis that will affect Russia when soldiers fighting in Ukraine return home.

Putin can de pot op. Hij heeft geen enkele inspraak wie er wel en niet bij de NAVO komt. Al heeft hij helaas wel invloed op enkele landen die wel inspraak hebben. Hopelijk kunnen we daar een weg omheen vinden.

Zelensky called on UNESCO last year to expel Russia in response to its attacks on Ukrainian cultural heritage.
The appeal was reiterated by the Ukrainian parliament this July in the wake of Russian attacks on Odesa's historic city center, a designated world heritage site. As of Nov. 2, 327 cultural sites have been damaged by Russian attacks on Ukraine, UNESCO said.
