Maar die zijn gewoon allemaal gesloten door de voorganger van shoigu. Het was financieel niet meer te vol te houden, al die bases waar alleen een officieren korps rondloopt, die niks deden.
Eigenlijk is het antwoord op dat: rus is niet de SU.
Betekent nog steeds niet, dat het niet zou kunnen, maar wordt een nog grotere shitshow dan nu, waar we russen op gympen in de loopgraven zien.
Maar realistisch; putin kondigd geen mobilisatie af. De stelling dat zelfs dictaturen een vorm van steun nodig hebben, klopt, en hijzelf voelt haarfijn aan dat hij daar niet mee wegkomt.
Anders zou ik ook niet weten waarom hij dat nog niet gedaan heeft.
We zien nu zelfs dat alleenstaande moeders
met 8K eu/usd schuld een papiertje voor hun neus krijgen, even kruisje bij het lijntje zetten, en dan ben je van je schuld af, en down the line ook van je leven.

Dit alles verzwakt de economie en/of zorgt voor enorme inflatie, op hun beurt nóg meer mensen doet vluchten (in rusland werken voor zwakke roebels, of in het buitenland werken voor dollars/euros).
We hebben in het recente russische verleden gezien wat de gevolgen zijn.
De immigratiecijfers van 2022 spreekt alvast boekdelen:

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that the Ukrainian strike damaged a ship located in a shipyard in Kerch, a city in Crimea, Russian state-controlled media reported on Nov. 4.
Sergey Aksyonov, head of the illegal Russian occupation government in Ukraine's Crimea, wrote on Telegram that air defense was at work near a shipyard in the city of Kerch.
Debris from one of the intercepted missiles fell onto one of the dry docks, Aksyonov said. There were no reported casualties.
The Russian Defense Ministry later claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a strike using 15 cruise missiles at a shipbuilding plant in Kerch. Russian air defenses reportedly shot down thirteen cruise missiles.
Since mid-July, drones and missiles have regularly targeted Russian military depots and infrastructure in occupied Crimea.
The attacks on Russian-occupied Crimea and the naval targets nearby have substantially increased over the summer.
The strikes have largely focused on Russian logistics routes in and out of Crimea, as well as targeted ammunition depots of Russia's Black Sea Fleet, stationed in the occupied port city of Sevastopol.
Crimea is the central logistics hub for Russian forces in southern Ukraine.

Dubinsky subsequently confirmed the suspicions against him on Telegram, stating that the DBR had informed him of the charges. He believes the case is related to his criticism of President Vladimir Zelensky and the President’s chief of staff, Andriy Yermak.
On Nov. 3, the SBU gave formal notice of suspicion, pertaining to the alleged illegal transfer of individuals across the state border. The crime carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
According to the investigation, the MP managed to facilitate the illegal departure of his wife’s brother to a neighboring European country.
The SBU reports that he used a controlled public organization, Mediaoborona, to bring “the right people” into the Shlyakh system as “volunteers,” the report says. The Shlyakh system is a means by which military age men obtain permission to travel abroad during martial law.
During the searches, the SBU seized flash drives, mobile phones, seals, letters, contracts, and other documents used to manipulate the Shlyakh system with false information.
The director of the public organization, whom Dubinsky purportedly engaged, was issued a notice of suspicion.
The SBU has stated that they are currently determining the appropriate preventive measures for the defendants, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

NBC sources say these discussions are a reflection of the situation at the front and the political situation in Europe and the US.
The discussions began amid concern among US and European officials that the war has reached a stalemate, and about their ability to continue to provide aid to Ukraine, officials said.

Dus op deze manier via een vrachtwagen is helemaal nog zo gek niet. Vooral als ze het uitspreiden over een langere periode. En in eerdere schattingen zouden ze vlieg klaar zijn tegen de winter aan van dit jaar. Je hebt sterke dictatoren die geen rekening hoeven te houden met hun achterban. Maar die kunnen zich als het niet goed gaat met een oorlog ook gewoon terugtrekken zonder zich zorgen te maken om gezichtsverlies.
