De tijd dat raketbanen louter ballistische berekeningen waren is voorbij. -Nou ja, de vlucht van een Falcon booster is een ballistisch traject, voor de landingen op land mikken ze dat ding op zee om zo laat mogelijk bij te sturen om 'm op de landingspad te zetten. Mocht er iets mis gaan lazert 'ie in het water.
Ik vind het eigenlijk vooral knap dat die boosters niet omvallen als ze eenmaal op dat droneship staan. Hoe hoog ligt het zwaartepunt eigenlijk?

I watched some of the SpaceX/NASA Falcon Fireworks Show. All the presenters seemed to have smug smiles on their faces as if there was some kind of inside joke going on. I found it all childish, cheesy, corny, shallow, strained, forced, lacking any real sense of excitement, really fckin boring and overall painful to watch.
The only vaguely entertaining bits were the space-themed cat photographs.

Samenvatting: ik snap het niet dus kan het niet. Je gaat op geen enkel argument in en herhaalt alleen maar waar je moeite mee hebt, ondanks dat het al meerdere keren is uitgelegd. Echt, ik hoop voor je dat je een trol bent. Zo door het leven gaan gun je niemand.
Ze zijn prima in staat om ononderbroken high res beeld vast te leggen van de gehele landing. Het is blijkbaar lastig om een antenne nauwkeurig genoeg op een satelliet te mikken met een bandbreedte voor een HD video signaal als er een raket op 10 meter afstand landt. Blijkbaar vinden ze het de moeite niet om er een extra schip naast te leggen als relais voor die paar seconden. Misschien moet je een inzamelingsactie gaan houden om een extra bootje te betalen.quote:

Dat is een simpele geld westie, boosters en fairings hergebruiken scheelt miljoenen. Zelfs als je het risico op mislukte landing meerekent is ontwikkelen van het landingssysteem het waard geweest. Het is ook vaak genoeg misgegaan. En je vergeet natuurlijk, want daar geloof je toch niet in, dat een van dat het doel van SpaceX het landen van mensen op Mars is. Alle ontwikkelingen die ze nu doen moeten daaraan bijdragen. Het landen en hergebruiken van raketten voorop.

Ik snap trouwens dat je het leuk vindt om te doen alsof er een signaal 72.000km de ruimte in moet, maar dat is 36 (en dan weer terug ja). Maar 72 klinkt lekker extreem he? Net of het niet waar is!

Marifoon heeft gezien de lage frequentie maar een bandbreedte van zo'n 25kHz per kanaal beschikbaar. Dat is voldoende voor sprak maar niet voor HD video, wat al snel minimaal 8.000kHz tot 20.000kHz per kanaal nodig heeft. Dat lost men op met... een satellietverbinding.
Je hebt voor marifoon in Nederland bijvoorbeeld 156 tot 162MHz beschikbaar voor แlle marifoonkanalen. Dat is 6MHz bandbreedte en daar kan je onmogelijk 8 en al helemaal geen 20MHz kanalen toepassen.
Daarom werk je op veel hogere frequenties met helaas ook minder bereik. Een schotel biedt daar uitkomst omdat je signaal beter kan bundelen en je bereik gigantisch toeneemt. Zeker richting ruimte aangezien er buiten onze atmosfeer niets meer tussen zit.
Nogmaals, satellietverbindingen zijn bij uitstek geschikt om data te verzenden, dat doen we al sinds de 60's.
Uiteraard kan SpaceX in de nabije toekomst ook gebruik maken van z'n eigen Starlink netwerk.
Je gebrek aan natuurkundige kennis zit je bij alles in de weg. Geloof je wel in natuurkunde? Of is dat ook fake?
Het landingsgestel wordt pas op het laatst uitgeklapt en niet de hele missie loopt in de soep als zo'n booster niet heelhuids landt.
