Het valt op dat sommige vormen van schadelijk gedrag blijkbaar afgehandeld zijn met de constatering dat het nu eenmaal zo is. Terwijl andere vormen van schadelijk gedrag, die ook van alle tijden zijn, altijd moeten worden vervolgd en bestraft. En dat verschil is de grote truc waarmee veel corruptie onder het vloerkleed verdwijnt. Men doet alsof bij misleiding het alleen gaat om de vraag of jij zo slim bent dat je het doorhebt, en niet om het liegen zelf en degene die liegt.

Russia's Putin calls for compromise in Ukraine
MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin publicly expressed support Sunday for Ukraine's declaration of a cease-fire in its battle against pro-Russian separatists and called on both sides to negotiate a compromise.
Putin said such a compromise must guarantee the rights of the Russian-speaking residents of eastern Ukraine, who must feel like they are "an integral part" of their own country. Putin's statement appeared to signal that he sees their future in Ukraine.

Separatists Take Revenge on Villagers for Dismantling Roadblock
Novosti Donbassa reports that separatist fighters have returned to the village of Shabelkovka near Kramatorsk.
The fighters were driven out of the village on Saturday, June 21, by around 200 local residents after the fighters had refused to dismantle their roadblock.
The report says however, that "Russian mercenaries" later arrived at the village and dispersed an impromptu meeting of local residents.
The terrorists fired into the air and kidnapped the brothers, Alexei and Roman Khokhotva, who they accused of organising the dismantling of the roadblock .
On the following day the militants kidnapped another relative of Roman Khokhotva. The three are now in the occupied Ukrainian Security Service building in the town of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region.

Blijf me toch verbazen dat die Russen steeds met dat "Kiev = Fascisme" argument blijven komen. Gevalletje van het maar lang genoeg herhalen in de hoop dat mensen het gaan geloven?

Pro-Russische separatisten in Oekraοne hebben alsnog hun steun gegeven aan het bestand dat president Porosjenko afgelopen vrijdag eenzijdig afkondigde. Ook zullen ze de ontvoerde waarnemers van de OVSE vrijlaten.
De separatisten komen met hun toezeggingen na overleg vandaag in Donetsk, onder leiding van de Oekraοense oud-president Koetsjma. Aan het overleg namen de leiders van de separatisten in Loegansk en Donetsk deel, twee van de belangrijkste pro-Russische regio's in Oost-Oekraοne. Ook waren de Russische ambassadeur en een OVSE-vertegenwoordiger aanwezig.
Tot nu toe wilden de separatisten alleen de wapens neerleggen als het Oekraοense leger zich uit het Oosten van Oekraοne zou terugtrekken. Die eis hebben ze nu dus laten vallen.
Rustig
Het bestand geldt tot vrijdag. Die einddatum werd afgelopen vrijdag ook al gesteld door president Porosjenko. Hij zei toen dat het Oekraοense leger zich nog wel zou verdedigen tegen aanvallen van separatisten. De afkondiging van het eenzijdige bestand leidde daarom niet tot een einde aan de gevechten. Vandaag was het voor het eerst rustig in Oekraοne.
Als het de komende dagen rustig blijft, kunnen vredesinitiatieven een serieuze kans krijgen. Porosjenko heeft tot nu toe geweigerd om rechtstreeks in gesprek te gaan met de separatisten, die hij terroristen noemt. Hij ging wel akkoord met bemiddeling door Koetsjma, die zelf uit het oosten afkomstig is. Koetsjma was president van 1994 tot 2005.
Poetin en Obama
De Russische president Poetin en zijn Amerikaanse collega Obama hebben vandaag telefonisch overlegd over de situatie in Oekraοne. Obama heeft in dat gesprek gezegd dat hij met extra sancties zal komen als Rusland niet snel zijn best doet om het conflict in Oekraοne te de-escaleren.
