Vind je die nieuwe van Blaudzun echt een van de beste albums van 2014 tot nu toe?
Vond er geen klap aan eigenlijk. Begint aardig, maar daarna een hoop middelmaat.

Go Find staat nog op de lijst. De andere zal ik eens uitpluizen

Als Vlaams product zou ik nog wel de nieuwe van My Little Cheap Dictaphone willen noemen. Aardig album.

Black & White

De eerste drie maanden van 2014 zijn voor mij niet veel waard. Veel middelmaat.

En mijn release van het jaar is doorgeschoven naar volgend jaar.
Meat Loaf komt met een nieuwe plaat grotendeels geschreven door Jim Steinman. En dan heb ik het over nieuw werk van de beste man. Jim gaat ook achter de knoppen zitten samen met Steven Rinkoff (Producer Bat II) en Paul Crook (gitarist en producer Hell in a Handbasket). Dat moet episch worden. Titel: Braver than we are
Het album staat nu ingepland voor begin volgend jaar.

We are young but getting old before our time
We'll leave the T.V. and the radio behind
Don't you wonder what we'll find

Ja hoor, niks mis mee. Niet zo goed als het sublieme Seadrift Soundmachine, maar ik vind het zeker een fijn album en tot nu toe wel een van de betere van 2014.

Er zit ook nog weer een verschil in het noemen van albums die je geluisterd hebt, zoals sommige volgens mij doen, en albums die je de moeite waard vind. Waarbij ik zelf trouwens die twee 3 sterrenalbums ook best weg had kunnen laten.

Hou hoog de naam van N.E.C.

Tot nu toe nog te weinig geluisterd, maar van hetgeen ik heb gehoord maar een album top 10 materiaal:
Nasheim - Solens Vermod

En dat terwijl ik normaal gesproken bijna geen Black Metal luister.

Alcest vond ik op het eerste gehoor nogal tegenvallen (te licht, te weinig melancholiek), maar misschien verandert dat wel als ik 't vaker hoor. Verder moet ik de nieuwe albums van Skindred en Crippled Black Phoenix nog horen en komen zowel Sabaton als Agalloch met nieuwe albums dit jaar.
