IDOlaat van XFA, Idols, Popstars, Op zoek naar... HGT? In dit forum zijn alle aanstormende talenten gebundeld.
RTL 5 gaat op zoek naar nieuw singer-songwritertalent in The Hit. De songwriters kunnen hun nummers aan bekende Nederlandse artiesten laten horen en wie weet zingen zij de track de hitlijst in.
Dennis Weening gaat het programma presenteren. Rob de Nijs, Charly Luske, Brownie Dutch, Desray, Waylon, George Baker Stevie Ann, Sandra van Nieuwland, DJ Chuckie, Ben Saunders, Eva Simons, Sidney Samson, Rowwen Hèze, Xander de Buisjoné Sabrina Starke, Niels Geusebroek, Lisa Lois en Will And The Peoplezijn de artiesten die aan de slag gaan met liedjes van beginnende songwriters.
In The Hit kunnen de songwriters hun werk pitchen aan artiesten. De artiest kiest twee nummers uit en gaat daarmee de studio in. Maar met welke Hit ze uit de studio komen, blijft een verrassing voor de songwriters.

FAILquote:RTL5 verplaatst de nieuwe muziekshow The Hit naar de zondagavond.
Dit maakte de zender woensdag bekend.
Naar de eerste aflevering van The Hit keken afgelopen maandag slechts 255.000 kijkers. RTL5 verwacht dat de dure muziekshow van Dennis Weening op de zondagavond om 20.00 uur beter tot zijn recht komt, omdat de jonge kijkers op dit tijdstip gewend zijn aan tv-shows, zoals So You Think You Can Dance.
De ingreep heeft bovendien gevolgen voor andere tv-programma's. De Modepolitie 2.0 verschuift mee naar de zondagavond. De lancering van het nieuwe programma From Russia With Love, over mannen die in Oost-Europa een vrouw zoeken, wordt een dag uitgesteld. Dit geldt ook voor het tweede seizoen van Ik heb het nog nooit gedaan. Beide realityprogramma's gaan nu maandagavond 3 maart van start.
In The Hit, van oorsprong een Iers format, krijgen wekelijks zes songwriters de kans hun zelfgeschreven nummer te pitchen aan artiesten.
Hitlijsten
RTL5 weet ook een succes van het muziekprogramma te melden. Het nummer Celebrate The Rain, van songwriter Mijke Breepoel, werd meteen na de uitzending als single uitgebracht door Sidney Samson en Eva Simons en staat inmiddels op nummer 1 in iTunes.
De single Focus on Love van Ben Saunders staat woensdag op de tiende positie in iTunes.
Denk wel dat het op zondag beter bekeken gaat worden trouwens. Ik zelf vind dat iig wel een fijnere dag voor zo'n programma.

Dat blijkt uit cijfers van Stichting KijkOnderzoek. Het is een zeldzaamheid dat een groter showprogramma zo weinig kijkers trekt. Tijdens The Hit was RTL 5 veruit de minst bekeken top tien-zender van het land. Het programma zat liefst 61 procent onder het laatste weekgemiddelde van de zender.
The Hit ging op maandag 24 februari van start met 255.000 kijkers. Dat vond RTL 5 zo teleurstellend, dat ze binnen 24 uur besloot om de show nog dezelfde week naar zondagavond te verhuizen.
Die verhuizing werkte echter averechts. Op de eerste zondagavond, 2 maart, keken er nóg minder mensen: 156.000. Dat aantal is nu verder gekelderd.

Maakt niet uit. Dit programma was al vanaf het begin gedoemd te mislukken te meer ik het gevoel heb dat men een beetje reality moe wordt en met name inzake dit soort programma's.
