NBC Not Moving Ahead With 'The Office' Spin-off 'The Farm'
Dwight Schute will not be getting his own series after all. After filming the pilot for a spin-off of The Office focusing on Dwight titled The Farm, the network has opted not greenlight the project. Rainn Wilson tweeted, "NBC has passed on moving forward with The Farm TV show. Had a blast making the pilot - onwards & upwards! " Per Deadline, the pilot was slated to air as an episode of The Office. It is unclear whether it will still be shown.

Nope, Scandal didn’t already have one. Second-season shows often get full season orders, but ABC has been cautious with the Shonda Rhimes political soap. But in the wake of its reasonably steady performance on Thursdays this fall, Scandal is now getting an extra nine episodes and its first full season. (Scandal is averaging 8.1 million viewers and a 2.5 in adults 18-49, plus a hearty 45 percent DVR boost).
As for Neighbors, it’s been the weakest link in ABC’s Wednesday night comedy block, but hasn’t been nearly the disaster that critics had predicted/hoped. The comedy has averaged 6.8 million viewers and 2.0 in the demo with DVR.
Still no word on ABC’s freshman dramas. We’re told the network will likely decide on Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue this week or early next week. Get this: They’ve averaged exactly the same not-good demo rating. But Last Resort (9.1 million, 2.3) has a much harder job opening Thursdays against huge competition and delivers a bigger overall audience compared to Sunday’s 666 (6.5 million, 2.3). However, Last Resort just went down — but that’s a military-themed show against the World Series, so are you really going to hold that against them?.
ABC would love more time to wait and see for both. But the network has to decide whether to continue them soon in order to keep the two respective productions on schedule. Sources emphasize that despite having dramas waiting in the wings for midseason (like Zero Hour and Red Widow), that this is not a “dark room one knife” situation. But after seeing 666 post very modest numbers for Sunday’s Halloween episode, I’d put odds on Last Resort over 666 at this point (I mean, come on, if your horror series called 666 can’t bring a ratings bump for a Halloween episode…). Plus, remember that Private Practice is getting cancelled after its 13 episodes run out, so that frees up a slot too.
ABC has more breathing room on Nashville, which has aired fewer episodes than the other two. If the country music drama can keep its head above a 2.0 in the demo in the overnights (which is exactly what the show earned this week), it’s a fair bet ABC will give the show a full season.

EW has confirmed that the USA Network has decided against ordering more episodes of its political nail-bitter Political Animals.
The Greg Berlanti drama starring Sigourney Weaver, which ended its six-episode run in August, was initially billed as a limited series run and according to the network, they have decided to stick to those plans.
“We are proud of Political Animals, our miniseries that attracted critical acclaim and impacted the cultural conversation this summer,” the network said in a statement. “It was a pleasure to work with Greg Berlanti and Laurence Mark and a powerful cast led by Sigourney Weaver. We look forward to collaborating again with these immensely talented creatives.”
Political Animals, which chronicled a former First Family’s personal and professional drama, premiered in July with 3.8 total viewers and averaged 3.2 million viewers, according to the network, who in the last few days has been very busy cleaning house. In addition to announcing their winter premiere dates, they also announced the cancellation of Common Law and Fairly Legal.
Berlanti is currently an executive producer on CW’s Arrow.

Tevens moet ik bij Arrow de serie Elementary benoemen. Vind dit wel een erg interessante serie samen met Arrow en een beetje Go On. De rest is troep.

Ik kijk momenteel alleen nog Hunted, van alle nieuwe shows
Revolution heb ik nog 3 eps staan ofzo, maar ik heb er geen zin in.
Last Resort same.
Elementary en Arrow moet ik de pilot nog van kijken.

gisteren begonnen aan Revolution en de eerste 3 eps vielen me best mee. Het is van een open zender dus het ziet er wel weer allemaal net wat te gelikt uit, het hoofdkarakter is de moraal van het verhaal en het verhaal heeft nogal wat gaten maar vond het prima te doen want het idee erachter is best geinig

BSG B&C wordt in een full feature movie released in Januari en SyFY zal dan pas een besluit nemen, het kan gewoon een serie worden.

De Amerikaanse partner zou wel nog met het hoofdkarakter een doorstaat willen maken in een nieuwe serie. Dus het is een beetje afwachten of het 1ste seizoen een afgerond verhaal heeft of niet.quote:

ABC will finish airing the original 13-episode orders for both shows, but neither will receive a full-season pickup.
For 666, the writing has been on the wall for weeks. The Sunday-night supernatural drama starring Terry O’Quinn has been shedding its Revenge lead-in and been on a downward spiral since its debut.
For Last Resort, the news is somewhat surprising. Though its ratings matched the performance of 666, Shawn Ryan’s submarine thriller was one of the best-reviewed new fall shows and, up until the past couple weeks, insiders were betting it would get a “back nine” order. But Last Resort struggled against very steep competition in its 8 p.m. slot and the show’s ratings ticked down a little further last night.
Oftentimes freshman series cancellations are met with a fair amount of online jeering (there wasn’t much disappointment over CBS’ Made In Jersey or NBC’s Animal Practice getting the axe). But these two are a bummer. Understandable, given the numbers, but a bummer. Both shows creatively tried to bring something new to broadcast primetime rather than rely on a familiar drama formula. Even if you’re not a fan of these shows, you can respect the effort behind them.
As with last year’s Pan Am, ABC is retaining its option to revive either show for next season. So if midseason shows like Red Widow and Zero Hour perform worse than these two and the network’s pilot season goes poorly, there’s a chance one or both could be resuscitated. It happened to CBS’ Unforgettable, which was cancelled last season and then later announced to return next summer. But the example of Pan Am is far more typical.

Last Resort is wel jammer, maar het verloor ook steeds meer mijn aandacht. Sowieso erg jammer dat we niet meer van Autumn Reeser te zien krijgen, maar gelukkig hebben de lingerie scene van de pilot nog altijd

Deadline reports that CBS has canceled freshman comedy Partners and will pull it from the schedule immediately. This week it earned a series low 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. No replacement has been announced, but CBS's sturdy relief pitcher Rules of Engagement is likely to take over the time period until mid-season series Friend Me debuts.
Update: CBS is replacing the Monday, November 19 episode of Partners with a repeat of Two and a Half Men.

Wederom een bewijs dat kwaliteitsdramas tegenwoordig alleen maar overleven op cable zenders. Jammer zeg, Last Resort is echt goed. Veel beter dan bepaalde dramas die wel als een bezetene scoren. Gelukkig wel 13 episodes en dus de kans er een mooie mini-serie van te maken, net zoals Awake vorig seizoen.
Was Partners echt zo slecht dan? Ik vond het best wel grappig. Ben er niet mee doorgegaan omdat ik al zoveel kijk. Misschien hadden meerdere mensen dat
Heb 1 aflevering gekeken en vond het wel ok, maar niet geweldig. En aangezien ik ook al veel keek ben ik er niet mee doorgegaan. Ook omdat ik aan de kijkcijfers al zag dat hij gecancelled zou gaan worden. Het was meer de vraag wanneer het gecancelled zou worden, hahaquote:

Zij was eigenlijk de enige reden dat ik het sowieso een kans gaf. Hoop dat ze gauw wat anders vind. Hopelijk drama, dat doet ze toch beter vind ik.
