Volgens mij is er helemaal geen verschil tussen een brandbom/brandfles/molotovcocktail/petrolbomb. Elke definitie is 'een glazen fles gevuld met een brandbare inhoud met een lont of lap.'

Wat ik heb geleerd is dat de Molotovcoktail een fles is met brandbare vloeistof met aan de buitenkant chemicaliën om het bij het breken te doen ontsteken. Dit om te voorkomen dat de werper verraden gaat worden door de brandende lont zoals die bij een brandfles noodzakelijk is.
