De race in China gaat niet door. Er wordt nog gezocht naar een alternatief. Genoemd worden Road America of een tweede race op Texas.

Road America in beeld als vervanger China

Road America was eerder een populaire race op de Champ Car-kalender.

The series has also announced that the season finale at Fontana on September 15 will be extended from 400 to 500 miles. The two-mile superspeedway last hosted a 500 mile IndyCar event in 2002, which was won by Jimmy Vasser.

Push-to-pass terug

The amount of additional boost and the amount of time that the extra boost will be available will be pre-determined by the series, and will vary depending upon the circuit.

As part of the introduction of push to pass, the base turbo boost level will drop to 150 kPa, and increase by 10 kPa when the system is engaged.

Ik denk niet dat de Indycar organisatie toestaat dat de laatste Lotus verdwijnr, ze hebben niet voor niets de regels aangepast dat een overstap alleen met toestemming van de Indycar organisatie mag plaats vinden. En misschien dat de updates die Lotus mag doorvoeren wat verbetering brengt.quote:

Ik vind die "grid reporter" wel behoorlijk onbeschoft. Hij drukt een microfoon onder de neus van coureurs en laat ze vervolgens niet eens uitpraten. Wie is die man? 
Barrichello op weg naar een ander team

Aankomend weekend 27 coureurs in Sonoma (hoogste sinds Indy 500). Naast de 25 gebruikelijke coureurs rijden Ketherine Legge (Dragon) en Sebastian Saveedra (Andretti) mee.

Bovenstaande data zijn de data die door de circuits zijn bevestigd. Indycar zelf heeft nog geen kalender uitgegeven.
