Vond het een leuke race. Erg spannend nog op het einde.

Het 'Rookie Orientation Program' wordt gehouden op 11 en 12 mei. Op dit moment zijn er 4 rookies voor de Indy 500, te weten Conor Daly (Foyt), Carlos Munoz (Andretti), Tristan Vautier (Sam Schmidt) en AJ Allmendinger (Penske).
Oorspronkelijk zou dit op 11 April worden gehouden, maar werd uitgesteld door het slechte weer.

Die startcrash bij de IndyLights net. Dan begin je met slechts 10 bolides en nog krijgen ze het voor elkaar om na 50 meter met 7 over te blijven.

Het aantal inschrijvingen voor de Indy 500 kan oplopen tot 35. Naast de bevestigde 30 coureurs zouden Buddy en Jaques Lazier, Pippa Mann, Townsend Bell en Jay Howard bezig zijn om een plek in de race te bemachtigen.
Buddy Lazier heeft het chassis waarmee Jean Alesi vorig jaar meedeed gekocht en laten voorzien van een Chevrolet motor. De overige coureurs zijn in gesprek met teams voor een plek in de race.

Pippa Mann bevestigd voor de Indy 500, ze gaat rijden voor Dale Coyne.

Further details to the entry – car number, sponsors and notable crewmembers – will be announced at a later date.
The confirmation brings the number of driver/car combinations to 31 for this year’s race, with two more to go before a full field of 33 is achieved.

Het aantal motoren schijnt dit jaar het probleem niet te zijn, eerder het gebrek aan chassis omdat de teams vanaf de Indy 500 zes back-to-back races rijden en niet graag hun reservechassis inzetten.

En in mei elke zondag een samenvatting van een race. Afgelopen zondag was St.Petersburg, aankomende zondag Alabama, 12 mei Long Beach en 19 en 26 mei Sao Paulo.

Hunter-Reay start op pole voor de race van vandaag in Sao Paulo.. Viso staat naast hem. Sato, de winnaar van de vorige race, start als 12de en Power, die de snelste was in de vrije trainingen, als 22ste, doordat hij nog geen snelle ronde had gezet toen James Jakes een rode vlag veroorzaakte en de sessie niet meer herstart werd.

NASCAR Sprint Cup-coureur Kurt Busch heeft van Andretti Autosport een aanbieding ontvangen om de Indy 500 te rijden. Hij zal volgende week voor het team van Andretti Autosport op Indy testen. Busch overweegt zowel de Indy 500 als de Coca Cola 600 op Charlotte te rijden.
