Sport 1 Duitsland zendt het idd uit, maar daar vind ik weinig aan. Die presteren het nog meer reclame er tussen te proppen dan RTL tijdens de F1. Ik kijk nu naar een Stream van ESPN UK voor als ik het live wil zien en eentje van Eurosport Uk als ik het onverhoopt gemist heb. Toby Moody, Julian Ryder en Neil Spaulding blijven gewoon het beste commentaar team, al is Steve Parrish van BBC ook niet onaardig

Denk het niet. Rossi gaat na dit jaar waarschijnlijk stoppen, daar zal alle focus wel op zijn. Casey vindt het veel fijner om lekker onder de radar te blijven dus een jaartje doorgaan zonder Rossi zint hem wel denk ik.quote:

Heel ongelukkige crash van Colin Edwards trouwens. Hij maakte ruimte voor de Puniet,, maar die ging onderuit en zijn schuivende motor haalde Edwrds onderuit ... Gebroken sleutelbeen dus die zal niet starten morgen..

MotoGP was best spannend, vooral in het midden. Helaas kwam het niet tot inhaalacties. Maar dat valt te verwachten als je drie man hebt die ongeveer even snel zijn en bijna nooit fouten maken. Maar ik voorspel op banen als Mugello en Assen dat er nog zeker wat vuurwerk in zit dit seizoen.

tot een paar jaar terug kon je Assen vergelijken met Mugello, sinds de aanpassingen - muilkorving - van Assen, vind ik het duidelijk mindere baan dan Mugello.
En juist dat is het rare: waarom kan Mugello wel gewoon blijven en moest men Assen weer opofferen voor allerlei randzaken die gebouwd moesten worden op de plek van het oude circuit?
En even wat anders: kan Yamaha niet gewoon Rossi op de motor van Spies zetten

Die blijerd wilde toch zo graag voor Ducati rijden? Hij deed zijn lopende contract met Honda destijds af als een formaliteit. Wilde tekenen voor één jaar (omdat Ducati al twee coureurs onder contract had staan), en daarna naar Ducati overstappen. Honda gaf aan dat hij met dat plannetje kon optyfen ("Níemand tekent voor één jaar, ook meneer Valentino Rossi niet. Het is twee jaar, of meer" of iets in die trant.). Uiteindelijk kreeg Rossi ook door dat het kleine Ducati hem sowieso niet kon betalen en tekende hij dus maar voor Yamaha. Dat gebrek aan respect dat Rossi heeft heeft ervoor gezorgd dat ik er helemaal niets mee heb. Als coureur misschien wel de beste ooit. Maar als persoonlijkheid een kneus. Al denken velen daar anders over. Maar goed, dat zie je wel vaker in de sport.

But the 33-year-old took to his official Twitter feed this morning, which has over 850,000 followers, to deny the retirement story and he said: “Ciao guys, the rumors about my retirement at the end of the year are not true! see you in Le Mans.”
It was only last weekend during the Estoril Grand Prix weekend in Portugal that Ducati CEO told MCN of the ‘strong possibility’ that Ducati and Rossi will be together again in 2013.

Valentino Rossi says that MotoGP has become tedious, World Superbike racing is better

Hij moet komend weekend toch wel weer wat progressie boeken op het circuit waar hij vorig jaar z'n enige podiumplaats behaalde.
Ik hoop dat hij met minimaal één van de Tech3 gasten kan meekomen, maar dat zal wsl ijdele hoop blijken.

Het tegenovergestelde zelfs. Er is niets meer 'puur' dan de beste rijders op de beste motoren. En dat is MotoGP. Dat er de afgelopen twee races nauwelijks ingehaald werd doet daar niets aan af. Het zit wel een stuk dichter bij elkaar dan vorig jaar, dus mooie races zullen er (net als vorig jaar) zeker wel komen.
Overigens vind ik WSBK ook erg leuk.

Het is interessant om te zien wat er gaat gebeuren, omdat Rossi's contract dit jaar afloopt. J-Lo blijft lekker bij Yamaha denk ik en Spies wordt misschien vervangen door Crutchlow.
Dani zal ook wel blijven waar die zit en dan wordt het OF Marquez OF Rossi op het lege Repsol stoeltje. Eerlijk gezegd hoop ik Marquez, alleen de rookie regel maakt dit wel lastig.
