Dit weekend is de hernieuwde A1-ring heropend, tegenwoordig beter bekend als de Red Bull Ring. Natuurlijk waren er meerdere Red Bull sponsord teams aanwezig, net als Vettel. En laat de laatste nu zijn hand- en voetafdrukken vereeuwigt zijn in een blok cement op het circuit.

"I would love nothing more to have the grand prix stay on a contract that was fabulous value for taxpayers - the issue is whether I can deliver that."

The complaint relates to an incident that took place in a Shanghai nightclub on the night of this year's Chinese Grand Prix. No official details relating to the incident have been released.
A statement issued on behalf of Lux by the Lalive law firm on Monday said: "In the view of the recent events which occurred in Shanghai on 17 April, Mr Eric Lux has decided to file a criminal complaint against Mister Adrian Sutil for physical assault and grievous bodily harm.
"As soon as the complaint is registered, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and the team Force India will be notified.
"Furthermore, please note that Mr Eric Lux does not exclude commencing an action against any other persons involved in this matter."
Sutil confirmed to German media last week that he was involved in an incident in China, but insists there was no deliberate intent from him to injure anybody.
"During a private event, there was a very unfortunate action by me in which I hurt another person completely unintentionally," Sutil said in a statement to the German media.
"I regret the incident and have apologised accordingly. Since this was a private event and not directly related to Formula 1 or my job as a Formula 1 driver, I ask for understanding that I will say no more on this incident."
Force India was unavailable for immediate comment.

Die hoor je overigens ook niet klagen en zijn vol lof over Pirelli volgens mij. En terecht. Je vraagt een bedrijf iets op een bepaalde manier te maken en die doen dat vervolgens netjes.
Ik ben er van overtuigd dat Pirelli ook gewoon in staat is om een Bridgestone van vorig jaar te maken zegmaar, maar dat is niet wat hun opdracht was.

Ik weet niet waar precies om gevraagd is, maar de term hard gebruiken voor een band die net zo lang meegaat als een band die de term zacht heeft vind ik zelf ook niet kloppen. Je zou toch verwachten dat itt de langzamere rondetijden je er ook wel langer op kan rondrijden, en dat lijkt vooralsnog niet zo te zijn.

Hard gaat ook langer meer alleen is het verschil niet zo groot. De opdracht voor Pirelli is overigens ook veel lastigern dan voor Bridgestone, vorig jaar ging de harde band zelfs de hele race mee, totaal geen strategisch aspect dan vind ik dit veel leuker.
Waarom niet gewoon 4 banden soorten, 1 harde die een hele race mee kan, een zachtere waar je 1 stop mee moet maken, een nog iets zachtere voor 2 of 3 stops en een hele zachte die heel veel grip heeft, maar waarbij je 4+keer moet stoppen?
en dan een onbeperkt aantal banden, maar wel in de kwalificatie je keuze maken voor welke band je de rest van het weekend gebruikt?
En dan geen stomme regel meer dat je verschillende compounds moe gebruiken.
