Flitsende films en spannende series, bespreek het hier met elkaar!
Pulp Fiction vind ik alleen goed door de manier van filmen, verder een flinterdun verhaal.
Godfather (twee weken geleden voor het eerst in mijn leven gezien) trilogie stal mijn hart, een familie volgen in zulke omstandigheden is altijd leuk, en helemaal als het gewoon goed geregisseerd is.
Shawshank Redemption heeft het verhaal en de acteurs doen het geweldig. En wat ik ook goed vind is dat de film geen seconde verveelt, zelfs de saaie scene's zijn boeiend om te kijken.
Once Upon a Time in the West, same old shit as Shawshank Redemtpion (voor mij dan), alleen het speelt zich af in de late periode van de 19de eeuw. En met 'same old shit' bedoel ik, het verhaal wat gewoon een goed plot heeft.

Raging Bull staat op theyshoo pictures op plek 19. Ik vond het een goede film, maar geen meesterwerk, het gaf mij niet het gevoel dat ik iets had gemist als ik de film niet had bekeken.
Valt mij op dat er haast geen Harry Potter film(s) in de top lijsten staat.

Ik weet het niet, in de "pretentieuze" top 1000 van Theyshootpictures, toch samengesteld door critici en kenners van allerlei filmbladen en filminstituten, staat Pulp Fiction nog redelijk met een 130e plaats, maar Shawshank staat slechts 583e, dus als die gelden als dé grote kenners, dan vinden die hem toch niet al te speciaal.

Ik denk niet dat dit een website is van alle critici en kenners van alle filmbladen e.d.
Gewoon een groep liefhebbers die een website hebben gemaakt. En zij hebben een bepaalde smaak. Hun top 25 bestaat alleen uit films voor 1981, met eigenlijk alleen 2x Godfather en Raging bull van na 1970. Dus zij hebben een voorkeur voor films uit die tijd. Ik kan me niet voorstellen dat sinds die tijd geen enkele film is gemaakt die in die top 25 hoort (of zit ik naar een verkeerd lijstje te kijken? http://www.theyshootpictures.com/gf1000_top100films.htm )
