01. Good newswritten by Audra Mae and Ferras
A song in retro style, Lena in an elegant dress, doesnt move much, the jury members state the obvious: This is not very mainstream. Seems to be one of Lenas favourites. Next to Jamala this will seem extremely boring tough.
02. Maybewritten by Pär Lammers and Daniel Scham
Written by a German composer duo (NO! Its not Siegel and Meinunger) this is a typical guitar pop song. It is quite radio-friendly and quite catchy. Lena says the song feels like a cloud.
03. I like youwritten by
Very slow unplugged and souly! That song was written by an American and a Briton over the Internet. This greates a cozy starbucks atmosphere The acoustic guitar sounds great and Lena plays the tambourine. Very Norah Jones, Katie Melua like. Lena looks very natural and sits on a stool. Lenas voice sounds great here!!! My favourite for now! This would definately surprise Eurovision viewers.
04. That againwritten by Stefan Raab
I cant really describe why but this is typically Raab. The bridges, the instruments are all very Raabish. Doesnt really sound special to me at all. Lots of Dadada The Big band in the back is the best part of the song, but as we all know no more than 6 people are allowed on stage at Eurovision.
05.Taken by a Strangerwritten by Gus Syffert, Nicole Morier, Monica Birkenes
This sounds very different and mysterious. An electronic sounding entry, very dark stage and Lena looks very grown up. Not Lena like at all and not a usual Eurovision entry. It could work out quite well or it could blow at Eurovision. The public in the studio seems to love the song.
06.What happened to me todaywritten by Lena Meyer-Landrut, Stefan Raab
As this is written by Lena herself, this is not a new side of her. This is the Lena we know and like(d). Very catchy! Not really an evolution to Satellite but this might work. The bridge introducing the chorous is great! Unfortunately it is a bit repetitive after 2 minutes.
