That's bad news for Montag, who last week sounded strangely optimistic about dropping almost all her cash on the album's production. "I put every dollar I have into this," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I've spent over $1 million, almost $2 million, on this album. It's cost as much or more than a Britney Spears album because I wanted it to be that quality."

In usual form, Heidi showed no humility when asked what would happen if she didn't make her money back. "That’s not even a possibility. I think within the first week we will definitely make our money back. The songs will make an impact in pop history."

Montag has been in the news this week for what's being called an obsession with plastic surgery. The Hills star revealed to People that in November she underwent 10 different cosmetic surgery procedures in the same day. It sounds like this also had something to do with her aspirations of pop stardom.

"My ultimate dream is to be a pop star. I'm competing against the Britney Spearses of the world -- and when she was in her prime, it was her sex appeal that sold," she recently told People.

Sowieso vind ik het vreemd staan als iemand een hele lage haargrens heeft, en bij haar is het helemaal extreem, net of ze een pruik op heeft die te ver naar voren is gezakt.
Wie weet ziet ze er al een stuk kloppender uit als ze haar haargrens door een prof bij laat werken.

Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) - Heidi Montag may want to rethink her planned pop domination. "The Hills" personality's debut studio album "Superficial" has sold a dismal 658 downloads to date, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

The album, which was released last week, has also released two songs - "Superficial" and "Fanatic" - digitally since November. They have collectively sold 6,000 downloads. The news is likely very embarrassing to the 23-year-old Mrs. Spencer Pratt, who had compared her effort to Michael Jackson's incomparable "Thriller."

In an interview with EW last week, Montag boasted that she spent three years and nearly $2 million to put up the album independently because she "wanted it to be back to the Thriller days, to that kind of sound."
When asked if her album holds up against Jackson's record-breaking LP, she answered, "I definitely do? I've spent as much time - maybe more, even - than Thriller. Every detail was very important to me, because I take this very seriously."

Montag added that she has gone broke after spending almost $2 million on "Superficial." "It's cost as much or more than a Britney Spears album, because I wanted it to be that quality and to be able to get those people. My album would have cost a record label over $4 million."

Very confident that the album will bring her success, Montag even refused to acknowledge the possibility that she wouldn't be able to earn her money back, saying, "That's not even a possibility. I think within the first week we will definitely make our money back."

"The songs will make an impact in pop history. They are absolutely incredible and everybody involved is the best of the best. People just haven't seen me as a pop star. I'm very excited for the world to see a whole new Heidi."

Montag recently boasted undergoing ten plastic surgeries in just one day. But she said she is still not done going under the knife. Currently a triple D cup, she said she wants an H cup for "Heidi."
