Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 #12 (360/PS3 Topic)

Modern Warfare 2 is een direct vervolg op Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, dat zich in tegenstelling tot alle andere spellen uit de Call of Duty reeks in het heden afspeelt in plaats van tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. De boventitel 'Call of Duty' was geannuleerd, en het spel zou nu Modern Warfare 2 moeten heten. Achteraf bleek de titel CoD toch te blijven staan op de covers, maar dit was alleen om potentiële klanten niet mis te lopen. Het spel heet nog steeds Modern Warfare 2.
Feiten

* In totaal zijn er 16 multiplayer maps tijdens de release van Modern Warfare 2 bespeelbaar
* Het is mogelijk om meerdere attachments op je wapen te plaatsen
* De multiplayer bevat vier nieuwe gamemodes (Flag Runner)
* Er is een nieuw clansysteem aanwezig waarmee toernooien kunnen worden gespeeld.

Name: Marathon Purpose: Unlimited Sprint. Pro: Climb obstacles faster.
Name: Sleight of Hand Purpose: Faster Reloading. Pro: Aim faster down sight.
Name: Scavenger Purpose: Auto-grab ammo from enemy corpses. Pro: Extra mags.
Name: Bling Purpose: Double weaponattachment on primary weapon. Pro: Double weaponattachment on secondary weapon.
Name: One man army Purpose: Change classes while being alive. Pro: Swap classes faster.
TIER 2
Name: Stopping Power Purpose: Increased bullet damage. Pro: Increased bullet damage to vehicles (killstreaks)
Name: Lightweight Purpose: Move Faster Pro: Aim faster down sight
Name: Hardline Purpose: Killstreaks require one less kill. Pro: Deathstreaks require 1 less death.
Name: Cold-blooded Purpose: Makes a player invisible to UAV, sentry guns, thermal imagery, and air support. Pro: No red name or crosshair when targeted.
Name: Danger close Purpose: Increases explosive weapons damage. Pro: Extra air support damage.
TIER 3
Name: Commando Purpose: Increased melee distance. Pro: No Falling Damage.
Name: Steady Aim Purpose: increases hip fire accuracy. Pro: Hold your breath longer.
Name: Scrambler Purpose: Scrambles and deactivates the mini-map/UAV. Pro: Delays the explosion of enemy claymores.
Name: Ninja Purpose: Invisible to heartbeat sensors. Pro: Move Silently (no footsteps).
Name: Sitrep Purpose: Detects enemy explosives and tactical insertions. Pro: Make enemy footsteps louder.

Kill Streak Rewards
Name: UAV Kills: 3 Function: Sweeps the area and reveals enemy player locations.
Name: Care Package Kills: 4 Function: Air Drop a random kill streak or ammo.
Name: Counter UAV Kills: 4 Function: Cancels other teams UAV
Name: Sentry Gun Kills: 5 Function: Ability to set-up a remote turret.
Name: Predator Missile Kills: 5 Function: Call in a Predator UAV missile strike
Name: Precision Air Strike Kills: 6 Function: Initiates an airstrike on a targeted area the user can now control the direction the airstrike comes from.
Name: Attack Helicopter Kills: 7 Function: Deploys a helicopter to attack enemy players
Name: Pave Low Kills: 9 Function: Heavily armored assault helicopter
Name: Stealth bomber Kills: 9 Function: Call in a stealth bomber (undetectable on radar)
Name: Chopper gunner Kills: 11 Function: Be the gunner of a chopper
Name: AC-130 Kills: 11 Function: Call in a controllable AC-130 gunship.
Name: EMP Kills: 15 Function: Call in a Electromagnetic pulse bomb (disables electronics for ± 1 minute)
Name: Tactical nuke Kills: 25 Function: Deploy a tactical nuke (this will end the round, no matter what)

Deathstreak rewards
Name: Copycat Deaths: 4 Function: Copy the loadout of the enemy that killed you on your fourth death. (level 1)
Name: Painkiller Deaths: 4 Function: Triple health for ten seconds after respawn. (level 6)
Name: Martyrdom Deaths: 4 Function: Drop a live grenade. (level 27)
Name: Final stand Deaths: 4 Function Last Stand, but you will be able to use your primary weapon and fully recover after a set amount of time without being shot again. (level 39)
