Carlisle captain Paul Thirlwell spared team-mate Peter Murphy's blushes by equalising his own goal to secure a draw against Swindon. Murphy lashed an Anthony McNamee cross into his own net whilst under no pressure in the 50th minute.

With two minutes left Thirlwell fired home a 20-yard effort into the bottom right-hand corner.

Swindon's Billy Painter had a chance to win the game but he put his shot wide of the left-hand post in stoppage time.
