Berlin, Germany – Philips and Douwe Egberts are launching a new SENSEO® coffee maker with fresh milk container that delivers speciality coffees to consumers at the touch of a button. The new SENSEO® Latte Select coffee machine features an integrated, removable fresh milk container which automatically adds fresh frothed milk to make Cappuccinos, Latte Macchiatos or Café Lattes using a variety of Douwe Egberts coffee pods for total convenience at home.

With over 20 million SENSEO® coffee machines sold worldwide, the launch of SENSEO® Latte Select adds another variant to the hugely popular SENSEO® coffee machine range and will heighten interest for the portfolio during key gift-giving seasons. This newest coffee machine from Philips and Douwe Egberts is aimed at everyone who enjoys drinking coffee shop coffee specialties and seek to recreate this quality experience in their own homes. An extensive range of Douwe Egberts coffee pods are available to choose from to suit every indulgence and taste so consumers are assured of a great cup of coffee every time.

The system conveniently creates the perfect coffee specialty using fresh frothed milk without the need for any separate steaming. The unique patented coffee brewing system combines Douwe Egberts SENSEO® premium quality coffee with fresh milk to create a choice of coffee specialities, not forgetting regular black SENSEO® coffee with the same great smooth taste and delicious aroma.

Coffee connoisseurs can be assured of a cup of quality coffee every time thanks to the dual heating system that ensures milk and coffee are ready at the same time. The automatic frothing system creates perfectly fresh frothed milk and delivers a superior milk foam layer in every cup. The SENSEO® Latte Select coffee pod system provides one cup of speciality coffee with milk or up to two cups of freshly brewed black coffee every time and has an extra-large water reservoir that holds enough water to make up to 8 cups of coffee without refilling. The adjustable cup tray easily accommodates a range of cup sizes, from Cappuccino cups to tall Latte Macchiato glasses.

Even cleaning the SENSEO® Latte Select coffee machine is made simple with the self-cleaning button, dishwasher-safe milk container and integrated milk frother which make it easy to remove any milk residues. For safety and convenience, an automatic shut-off which turns off the machine after 30 minutes.

The SENSEO® Latte Select will be available in a choice of Deep Black or True Red.
