The friend told the Sunday Express: "Jane only saw the suspect very briefly from the side and back. "She said she did not think it too strange at that point because she did not know what pyjamas Madeleine was wearing that night. "She just cannot be sure she would recognise the man again if she saw him because she only got a fleeting glimpse of him.

But what about the McCanns? Okay conspiracy theory here. This post does not reflect my opinion. It is only a "what if" scenario, I am considering.
GORDON BROWN INVOLVEMENT
Gordon Brown allegedly told the Portuguese Premiere that the McCanns were innocent, or at least he believed them to be so.
We all have heard how Brown personally intevened to have the Bundleman description released. Also of couse, one of his spin doctors is now providing spin for the McCanms.
Also it has been reported that if the McCanns were Portuguese and there wasn't all this political interference they would have been charged by now. Perhaps the McCanns would have already been arrested and charged if Brown had kept his nose out. Why are we still waiting for the next round of interviews?
Is this hold up from the top? So what's the deal? Is Gordon helping the McCanns just because he would help any other suspects in their position? I don't think so.
Is it a political game between Portugal and Britain? Or even a bargaining chip over Gibraltar negotiations. The McCann case could humiliate the Portuguese reputation for its police and its tourism. Is it a matter of personal friendships, his brother who knows people who are friends of the Mccanns? Or is there a specific reason why Brown wants to protect the McCanns? A secret we may never know about? Suppose yes to any in the above paragraph. How can the McCanns be helped out of this situation?
ACTION PLAN TO LET OFF THE MCCANNS
First delay next round of questions as this would elevate the McCanns as suspects in the public mind.
Suppose public opinion can be turned so that most people in Britain believe the McCanns are innocent, then Brown's people could get the charges dropped without an outcry. How can that be achieved? Bundleman is the key, just as Bundleman was very important to Gordon Brown's intervention before..
If Bundleman can be shown to be a real person who was also seen by other witnesses and perhaps even abducted another child (in Huelva) it would show clearly to most people that the McCanns must be innocent and there is no case therefore to make charges.
ACTION OVER PAST WEEK
All the elements have been put in place over the past week or so. Child abducted not too far from Praia da Luz.
Cooperman, the man seen by Gail Cooper is all over the front pages and TV News in a new media frenzy. Tanner confirms Cooperman and Bundleman are one and the same. Above information put out in a media blitz.
ACTION PLAN IN NEXT FEW WEEKS
Sightings of Cooperman will be reported in Huelva. This is the "proof" needed that Cooperman/Bundleman abducted Madeleine and also another child.
Therefore the British people must believe the McCanns are innocent. Flaws in Portuguese investigation now to be ripped open and exposed in the media in another frenzy.
Media to repeat that there is no case to be made against the McCanns. The British tell Portuguese they want to drop case against McCanns and the British police will not reinterview them. There is nothing Portuguese can do about it.
Arguido status dropped and McCanns told their will be no further action against them. The secret that the McCanns hold that may or may not include a government secret are never revealed.

> (JonBenét Ramsey - Wikipedia)quote:"At that stage - as Mills's draft script makes plain - his intention was to make an analytical, investigative programme that would have been very critical of the Portuguese police, not only for the errors in their investigation, but for their apparent campaign of disinformation designed to put pressure on Madeleine's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann. It would also have criticised both the local and British press over allegations that they recycled unfounded rumours with little sign of fact-checking or detachment."
It would, as Mills confirmed again yesterday, have scrutinised the various allegations that have been floated against the McCanns and concluded they are baseless: 'We had an investigative team looking into the story for weeks. Our assessment was that the purported DNA evidence was weak and inconclusive, while so far as we could tell the supposedly significant "discrepancies" between the stories told by the McCanns' friends about the night of Madeleine's disappearance amount to very little indeed.'
The original film would have compared Madeleine to the JonBenet Ramsey case in Colorado, about which Mills has made three previous documentaries. After the body of JonBenet, a child beauty pageant winner aged six, was found in her parents' Boulder home, they were vilified by the police and media, despite their continued insistence that they had nothing to do with her death. They claimed she had been killed by an intruder. Mills's version of the McCann Panorama featured an interview - eventually not used - with JonBenet's father, John, in which he said that the Colorado police 'did a great job of convincing the media and the world that we were guilty, but they couldn't charge us, because of course they had no case'. Years later DNA evidence proved beyond doubt that JonBenet had been killed by an intruder. John Ramsey told Panorama: 'It's a life-time damage. No question about it.'
En verder: "In the Panorama interview, Tanner said she lived with the burden of knowing that in all probability she could never identify the man she glimpsed only briefly that night. "He had his face turned away from me, sort of sideways and it was very dark. I just didn't see it properly I wish to God I had," she said. Oh well, dat had ik al eerder gedacht/gepost, what a scam!quote:The parents of missing Spanish youngster Mari Luz Cortes want to hire Kate and Gerry McCann's private detectives. The five-year-old's family plan to hire Metodo 3 if police fail to come up with clues to her whereabouts by the start of next week. Mari Luz's distraught ex-footballer dad Juan Jose Cortes last night said: "Today I've felt more anger than ever. "Enough's enough. We don't want compassion, we want results."
The missing girl's uncle Diego Cortes added: "If the police have got nothing new by next Tuesday, we'll hire the private detectives." Mari Luz vanished nine days ago as she went to buy sweets from a kiosk near her home in Huelva near Spain's southern border with Portugal.
The city is just a 90 minute drive from the resort of Praia da Luz where Madeleine, four, disappeared in May. Detectives from Barcelona-based Metodo 3 contacted Mari Luz's mum Irene hours after the mystery disappearance to examine possible links between the two cases - and pass on a message of support from Kate McCann.
The McCanns have offered to put pictures of Mari Luz's face alongside Madeleine's on posters in Spain, Portugal and north Africa. Police have said they do not think there is any connection between the two - but Spanish detectives hunting the five-year-old have yet to come up with any firm leads.
They questioned a local man who disappeared shortly after Mari Luz went missing and - but released him without charge after searching his home and finding nothing. Metodo 3 has worked for the McCanns since last September on a £50,000-a-month contract - the equivalent of £2,000 per working day.
Controversial boss Francisco Marco - rapped over a series of claims he knows who took Madeleine and is pretty sure where she is - has pledged to find her before March. It is not known if the McCanns know of Mari Luz's parents' plans to hire their detective agency.
Metodo 3 is not thought to have agreed to work exclusively for the McCanns. But any acceptance of other contracts is bound to raise questions about its ability to discover the Brit youngster when it is costing the Find Madeleine Fund hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Mari Luz's parents have not revealed how they plan to pay for Metodo 3's services. But they are thought to be searching for a wealthy donor to back their idea. An appeal fund set up shortly after their daughter went missing has just £300 in it. Daily Mail

Niemand heeft de Engerd van Praia da Luz herkend/gezien, wie dat 12-jarige meisje is blijft geheim en de sketch wordt alleen gepubliceerd om de man te bevragen en eventueel daarom uit sluiten want ze hebben niet gezegd dat hij wordt verdacht van kidnapping, maar: The photo-fit is seen as "one of the most important clues that the detectives of Metodo 3 are working on," concluded the spokesman of Kate and Gerry.quote:Sketch: Dozens of witnesses claim they saw him (Correio de Manha)
The suspect is everywhere
Dozens of phone calls were received by detectives who are working for the McCanns, following the disclosure of the photo-fit of a possible suspect. "We received many calls that are not important," admitted to the CM Clarence Mitchell, spokesman of the family, "but at the same time we also received dozens of phone calls with important information," he added.
Clarence Mitchell does not specify from where the calls are made, if they are from British who were in Praia da Luz or residents in the area, but ensures that "many people saw the man on the spot." Nonetheless yesterday in Luz, nobody remembered the individual, McCann's spokesman ensured to the press that there is a girl of 12 years old who remembers the man. Clarence Mitchell, however, did not want to tell who is that mysterious witness.
The detectives of the Spanish agency Metodo 3 that are working for the McCanns are now examining all clues received by telephone. "We can not say that we will find the man but we are trying," said to the CM Clarence Mitchell. "Nor do we say that he is suspect of kidnapping but we want to know if he has anything to do with the disappearance," he added.
The photo-fit is seen as "one of the most important clues that the detectives of Metodo 3 are working on," concluded the spokesman of Kate and Gerry.
"Meanwhile, the PJ is still awaiting the response of the British authorities concerning the rogatory letters sent to England, asking for new interrogations to the group that spent holidays in Praia da Luz "Till now there is no novelty," confirmed to the CM source linked to the research.
About this issue, Clarence Mitchell assured that "officially there is no information that PJ wants to interrogate Kate or Gerry." Nevertheless, "they are willing to cooperate with the authorities in order to speed the investigation," the spokesman continued, "they want to show to the Portuguese police they have nothing to do with the disappearance of their daughter."
Clarence Mitchell admitted knowing that there is a request from the Judiciary in Eurojust (the European agency which is the connection between the departments of Justice of the European Union countries), "but I do not know whether they want to question Kate and Gerry, the group of nine friends or just some of them."

Nobody in Praia da Luz saw the alleged kidnapper of Madeleine (24horasnewspaper)
"I would never forget a face like this"
Many questions the fact that the image only appeared now. There are some that say he looks like Charles Bronson the actor
The inhabitants of Praia da Luz, Algarve, guaranteed that they never saw the man represented in the photo-fit divulged by the McCann's family as being the alleged kidnapper of Madeleine. Almost all of the persons interviewed yesterday by 24 Horas said that if they had seen him they would remember. " I would never forget a face like this", was the most repeated sentence.
Carla, 32 years old and client of the video club Eureka had already seen the photo in the newspapers. "It is strange it only appears now. So many months after people don't remember half of the faces that passed through here at the time. Nonetheless, I think that if I have seen him I would never forget", she said to 24 Horas. And she added that the photo reminded her of someone: " When I saw that photo in the newspapers it seemed to me like Charles Bronson".
Edward Price, Tuc Price's brother, friend of Robert Murat refused to be photographed seeing the image of the alleged kidnapper but he gave his opinion: "He does not seem alike with anyone I know or I have seen in the area. But 8 months after what are they expecting by showing this image. There are many questions that were not made. How, why only now? "
Kneen, British citizen, 56 years old, living in Praia da Luz for three years goes further and gives some suggestions to the authorities. "Please! If I was the kidnapper I would never walk in the street like this. I think that they should try to make different images from this one and put them side by side", he said suggesting that they should make another image without the moustache or even with shorter hair. "Does anyone believe that the man was walking in the streets like that waiting to be caught?". Haynes Hubbard, the Anglican priest friend of the McCanns did not recognize the photo: "I only arrived here two months after the disappearance of Madeleine, but after that I never came across with nobody like this man. I wish I did! I could help Gerry and Kate".
We also spoke with some employees of the Ocean Club, the resort from where Madeleine disappeared. None recognised the man. We heard the same answer in the Baptista's supermarket, the Tapas Bar and in the coffee shops near the beach where the British went during their holidays in Algarve.
In a way it is very funny, because if the forums were representative of the readership, and all polls suggest that it was, this is a classic case of corporate consumer capitalism. It is also pretty worrying in terms of debate on the internet, since it means that if a campaign wishes to stop criticism it need only send it's chimps to post defamatory stuff and we can return to the pre-internet age in which public opinion is force fed to the public by an unrepresentative group of paid lackeys: i.e journalists.Oh well, I guess nothing lasts forever. And no one with half a brain, or indeed any brain at all (let's not be fractionist) thought that Labour was committed to open government, democracy or indeed allowing criticism of their favourite child neglectors, were barking at the wrong moon. Ok folks, time to stop questioning and get on message - ready - everybody needs to start reporting all foreigners to the police, especially if they look like Kate McCann in a bad production of the Mikado.quote:"Sadly, due to persistent and serious abuses, we will no longer be hosting discussions regarding Madeleine McCann on this website. Dat is tenminste positief nieuws...toch?!quote:Revolutionary DNA technology which could catch thousands more criminals every year is finally set to be cleared for use by police. DNAboost - which allows scientists to unravel mixed and previously unusable genetic samples - was hailed for its crime-fighting potential by former Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2006.
Experts believe the powerful software will identify up to 6,000 extra suspects annually, and could also help in cases such as that of missing Madeleine McCann - where forensic evidence appears to have been difficult to analyse. However, despite impressive results from pilot schemes in Yorkshire, Humberside and Northumbria, police have been banned from using the tool for more than 12 months.
The long delay led detectives and scientists to complain that the technology was falling victim to a "turf war" over the National DNA Database. The Forensic Science Service (FSS) - which developed DNAboost - was stripped of control over the bank of 3.5 million samples in December 2005, when it was made an independent Government-backed company.
A Home Office strategy board including representatives from the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo) and the Association of Police Authorities (Apa) now decides how the database can be used. A spokeswoman for the department confirmed that the strategy board had delivered its recommendation, and the matter had been passed to the Attorney General for final sign-off.
A source close to the project said DNAboost was the "most validated DNA technology in history".
They said: "This is the biggest step forward in crime-fighting science for more than a decade, and it has taken far too long to get clearance. It looks like it's finally getting authorised, but we could have caught thousands of criminals while they have gone through these hoops.
