Ik heb gisteren voor het eerst een hele aflevering gezien (en naar ik begrijp was het een herhaling, omdat het over het schop-incident van Huub ging). Maar nog. Goed, die lelijke negor is wel heel erg erg, maar om nou te zeggen dat die Huub mijn sympathie dan wel waardering kan wegdragen, nee.
Waar ik naar heb zitten kijken was een stel mallotige kleuters die mekaar wilden hoeken, een paar anderen kwamen bijkans klaar bij het geweldige grapje dat ze iemands make-up-doos gingen verstoppen. En dan niet uit een grapje, maar om iemand te zieken.

Het bleef gewoon erg naar allemaal.

Apologies in advance that I write in English. I can't spell in Dutch and can express myelf better this way.
I can't spell in English either, but that's another issue.
To look at it simply, you could say it's a question of taste: you either like this kind of 'reality' TV for all it encapsulates, or you don't.
But you say you watched BB and the Bus, so evidently it's not 'reality' TV that's the problem....
I think maybe you have to see more than 4 minutes before you can justifiably make a considered judgement. But okay, you also watched an episode, later. It happened to be an episode where you really had to have watched the preceding events to understand what was happening in any comprehensive way.
I could actually write a thesis on why I think DGK is a good programme, (and a brilliant child of the aging and withered BB format) but I fear you might give up reading after 4 lines and I really could have spent my Saturday afternoon doing something more useful.
So, now almost speechless, I can only suggest either giving it a chance (the risk being addiction) or accepting that this particular programme falls outside of your interests, because to be honest I have the feeling that no matter how many good answers you get in this topic, you have little interest in being persuaded.
Perhaps it's simply not to your taste.
Or perhaps you'll be converted........

As you said yourself, I've seen more than just four minutes, although one episode hardly makes me an avid viewer. And of course, to grasp the whole group dynamic and interpersonal ups and downs I'd have to see a lot more. Now you're being a bit defensive But I'll answer anyway... The point of this topic is not wether or not I could -or would or wouldn't like to- be converted or wether I do or do not accept my interest or lack of it. The point is why people who watch it, don't mind the depravity. Not of the programme per se, but of its participants. And not only don't mind it, but even like it. Mind you, I don't say anything about how smart the idea behind the programme is, and wether or not its fomula works. I am simply amazed by the sheer nastiness of the inhabitants (some more than others, of course), the utter joylessness they exude and the complete lack of any quality whatsoever as far as the dissing is concerned. I do enjoy a good row, provided it has something going for it, preferably wit. And this doesn't.
