Volgens bronnen bij de Verenigde Naties blijkt uit een nog vertrouwelijk rapport van de Klimaatcommissie dat pessimistische voorspellingen over stijging van de zeespiegel en de temperatuur helemaal niet kloppen.

Uit een samenvatting van het rapport van het IPCC zou blijken dat de stijging van de zeespiegel - voor Nederland een van de belangrijkste aspecten van klimaatverandering – de komende honderd jaar hooguit 43 centimeter zal zijn, en misschien slechts enkele decimeters.
