CID is chasing a notorious cop killer and Gene is determined to beat Morgan to the arrest. But all Sam has to do, Morgan promises, is one more job and he can 'come home'. Sam’s presumptions about his past, future and his very soul unravel in a heart-stopping climax.

quote:Millions see Life on Mars climax
The finale of time-travelling detective show Life on Mars was seen by more than seven million people, unofficial overnight figures show.
Around 6.6 million watched the first half hour, with the audience growing to 7.7 million once Manchester United's Champions League clash ended on ITV1.
Fans of the drama finally found out how modern-day policeman Sam Tyler, played by John Simm, ended up in the 1970s.
A sequel has already been announced, with the action moving to the 1980s.
The average audience for Tuesday's show was seven million - the highest figure for the entire second series.
"We're delighted so many people tuned in to see how Sam Tyler turned out," said a BBC spokeswoman.
Producers had promised a "natural and explosive climax", but filmed two separate endings "to keep everyone guessing".
Even so, the show's climax was open to interpretation - and internet message boards are still full of speculation about whether Sam Tyler was mad, in a coma or back in time.
Award-winning
The first series of Life On Mars won an international Emmy, and it has been reported that a US version of the show is being made.
Series two has just received three nominations for the Bafta television awards, including best drama.
One of the show's biggest draws has been politically incorrect DCI Gene Hunt, played by Philip Glenister.
He will return in the sequel, called Ashes to Ashes, which is to be set in London in 1981.
But Simm's character will be replaced by a female detective from the 21st Century who is stuck in the past after an accident.
Filming is due to begin this summer and the show will be broadcast on BBC One next year.
On ITV1, an average of 6.3m people tuned in to watch Manchester United's 7-1 Champions League quarter-final victory over Roma.
The audience peaked at 7.2m at several points during the match, which United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said was their greatest European match at Old Trafford.
A further one million people saw Chelsea's victory over Valencia on ITV4, with ratings peaking at 1.5 million towards the match's conclusion.

Geen Sam.quote:Life on Mars sequel jumps to '80s
A sequel to TV drama Life on Mars is to be made with the action moving to the 1980s, it has been confirmed.
The announcement was made as the second and final series of Life on Mars - in which a modern police officer was trapped in 1973 - came to an end.
The sequel, Ashes to Ashes, will see Philip Glenister return as DCI Gene Hunt - but this time in London in 1981.
He will be joined by a female detective from the 21st Century who is stuck in the past after an accident.
She will replace Life on Mars star John Simm, who was at the centre of the original mystery after apparently being catapulted back in time following a car crash in 2006.
Viewers of Tuesday's finale finally saw the answer to his continual question: "Am I mad, in a coma or back in time?"
'Sexy sidekick'
The new character will be a modern woman who has risen through the ranks of the Metropolitan Police by using psychological profiling to capture suspects, producers said.
But when she and her daughter are kidnapped, she is injured in a rescue attempt - and finds herself in 1981.
Jane Featherstone, executive producer for TV production company Kudos, said the search was on for DCI Hunt's new "sexy sidekick".
"It's a touch of Moonlighting teamed with a measure of Miami Vice," she said.
Filming is due to begin this summer and the show will be broadcast on BBC One next year.
