Ik heb deze week een presentatie Engels en heb inmiddels mijn praatpapier gemaakt, maar ik twijfel of de grammaica helemaal klopt, zou iemand eens naar de grammatica willen kijken.. ik hoop daar van te leren namelijk,
Alvast bedankt

For our profile paper we went to the Fontys Hogeschool in Tilburg. There we did some chemical experiments with aspirin. We used three types of analyze methods. Namely the UV-spectrometry, IR-spectrometry and High-pressure chromatography, but we would like to talk about an other experiment. In this experiment we made aspirin on our own. It wasn’t a difficult experiment at all, but we struggled some times. At the end we solved our problems and made our aspirin with success.
At first I want to explain how we made aspirin. In this laboratory experiment, we prepared aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) from salicylic acid and acetic anhydride using the following reaction:
......
As you can see, the hydrogen atom (shown in blue) is removed from the salicylic acid and replaced with the group of carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen atoms shown in red. This turns the hydroxy group into an acetyl group. This is to way to synthesize aspirin.
We have also a pocket with unclean aspirin. It looks more like flour instead of aspirin. It is maybe hard to believe that this product turned into this product, when it’s cleaned up. With one of our analyze methods, IR-spectrometry, we found out how clean our aspirin was. We did this by making a spectrogram. It turned out that our aspirin was almost the same as the products you can buy in the drugstore.
We are very happy with our profile paper. We had a very high score for it. By making this assignment I know how to work in a strict laboratory with new analyze methods and dangerous chemicals. Maybe later, I want to study Chemics. That’s why this assignment was very useful for me.
