is released under the name Boney M. and becomes a minor hit in the Netherland and Belgium, amassing weekly sales nearly 500 units. Needing to form a group for press and television appearances, Farian and the artist Agent Katja Wolf contract three females and one guy to make up Boney M. One of the first members to be recruited is model and dancer Maizie Williams, along with Sheila Bonnick, Natahlie and Mike. It is their role to provide a focus for the group in the media. None of the members at this stage are required to sing, all they do is mime and lip synch to the hit.
