Het toernooi werkt als volgt:
- een film wordt eerst genomineerd, wanneer deze door een andere user ondersteund wordt, gaat de film door naar de 1e ronde;
- bij een gelijke stand bij de knockouts, bepaalt Imdb (hoogste cijfer) welke film door zal gaan;
- ik verwacht te beginnen met 64 films, lukt dit niet dan zullen enkele titels vrijgesteld worden en de rest het in de voorrondes uitvechten;
- alleen bij duels stemmen waarbij je beide films gezien hebt.

Edit. La Meglio mag van mij ook door, maar dat is toch een mini serie? Of mag 'ie erin omdat 'ie in de div. filmhuizen is geweest? Of hadden ze dat op het laatst veranderd ofzo? Daar heb ik ook ooit iets over gelezen dacht ik, maar dat kan ook helemaal fout zijn hoor.

En ondanks de vele Italiaanse elementen, vind ik 'm persoonlijk ook helemaal niet Italiaans aanvoelen. Wanneer men mij zou vragen Italiaanse klassiekers op te noemen (ongeacht of ik ze zelf goed vind of niet), dan zou ik zelfs nooit aan deze film denken.

Shit! Te weinig op Fok! geweest en dus een interessant toernooi gemist. Italie is misschien wel mijn favoriete filmland. Mijn eerste indruk mbt de laatste 8: een redelijk vreemd rijtje. Ik mis Pasolini, Antonioni en vooral Rossellini. 25% Bertolucci lijkt me een beetje te veel eer (daar zou ie het zelf ook mee eens zijn denk ik
). Sciuscia vind ik een hele vreemde De Sica keuze. Leone is ook ietwat vreemd, niet omdat zijn films slecht zijn (hij is een erg goed regisseur), maar omdat zijn films eigenlijk nogal on-Italiaans zijn (vind ik). Mijn favorieten liggen er iig allemaal uit, op La Dolce Vita na, dus die steun ik dan maar van harte (ook al is het niet mijn favo Fellini film) Deels komt dit omdat er in de vorige rondes de ene na de andere grote naam uit is gevlogen (ongunstige loting etc.).
Zo zijn er een aantal niet-Fellini liefhebbers, waardoor er nog maar 1 Fellini-film inzit, die ik persoonlijk ook nog een van z'n mindere vind (La Dolce Vita).
Het grootste deel van de Italiaanse klassiekers zit in het neo-realisme genre en daarvan zijn er niet veel/genoeg liefhebbers, blijkt uit het feit dat er geen enkele titel uit het genre is overgebleven.
Italie is natuurlijk een absoluut topland, ter illustratie; maarliefst 18 titels die meededen scoren op Imdb een 8 of hoger, hiervan doen er trouwens nog 4 mee.

Hij komt wat traag op gang, maar er eenmaal ingekomen is het genieten van de prettige (ietwat lome) sfeer, de schitterende landschappen van Sicilië en de vermakelijke locale mythen, die de basis van het verhaal vormen.

Goeie film, echt italiaans, Fellini, kortom, duidelijk. Als Eastwood nou Estselva had geheten had ik getwijfeld, maar die film is te weinig Italiaans in mijn beleving.

C'era una volta il west (
) is voor mij toch wel een Italiaanse film te noemen.Het is een spaghetti-western, het is door een Italiaan (Leone) geregisseerd, het script/verhaal is door Leone en twee (later) bekende regisseurs (Argento en Bertolucci) geschreven, de soundtrack is Italiaans (Morricone) en de hoofdrolspeelster is Italiaans (Cardinale) (nou ja, ze komt eigenlijk uit Tunesië) .
Qua gevoel is het misschien niet helemaal een Italiaanse film (een gevoel dat ik wel enigzins deel trouwens), maar feitelijk gezien is 'ie dusdanig Italiaans getint, dat het voor mij geen hilarische winnaar zou zijn van dit toernooi.
Moeilijk, waarom heb ik niet gewoon op Cinema Paradiso gestemd
