mên, dat ik deze serie nu pas bekijk Wat een goeie serie! Misschien wel beter zelfs dan Simpsons of South Park. De maker van Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane, werkte ook mee aan "Johnny Bravo", "Cow and Chicken" en "Dexter's Laboratory" en wat andere cartoon network tekenfilms

Trouwens, die tekenfilm Larry And Steve (<- downloadable) van "What a cartoon" op cartoon network lijkt een klein beetje op Family Guy, met de pratende hond en die stemmen enzo.

Bij seizoen een werd aan het begin vaak nog naar een moraal toegewerkt. Begin seizoen 2 (volgens dvd indeling bij DaBoom) is dit gelukkig overboord gegooid. Ik onderga altijd een surrealistisch gevoel als ik er naar kijk. Ik vind het een erg intelligente benadering en de humor
topt voor mij zelfs "the simpsons."
De talloze flashbacks zijn zo ontzettend goed dat ik het jammer vind dat ik ze lang niet allemaal herken. Hoe goed is bijvoorbeeld de allereerste grap over hitler waarin je hem ziet puffen in een fitness zaal zonder resultaat en hem dan kwaad naar een zwaar gespierde rabbijn ziet kijken (met 2 vrouwen.) Of optimus prime die joods blijkt te zijn, bert en Ernie als homofiele undercover agenten, In vietnam als clown rondwandelen omdat ze mariniers verwachten. Fuck it ik ga nu weer kijken! I love Tom Tucker ("I'm the lord Jesus H Christ, think i'm gonna get drunk and beat up some midgets, how bout you Diane?" "well i just plain don't like black people." "We're still on in Boston")

Ik vind hem ook geweldig, word het niet eens tijd voor een contest van beste surrealistische flashback/ situatie. Ik zou Peters huis als een pratende ' pop' (" feed me" ) nomineren of de scene waarin Chris erachter komt dat kinderen niet uit een baarmoeder komen maar uit een bureaulade.
