De stemmen op MovieMeter zijn allemaal door Nederlanders en Belgen gemaakt en IMDb zitten ook stemmen van Amerikanen, Aziaten etc bij die wellicht een andere kijk op bepaalde films hebben. De doelgroep van MovieMeter is dus in principe dezelfde als die op Fok! en dat is niet zo bij IMDb en Fok!.

Het gaat er niet om wat de Fok!kers gebruiken om te raten. Het gaat er om wat de doelgroep is van de site. De doelgroep van FTR is Nederlandstalige film en tv liefhebbers. Dit is ook de doelgroep van MovieMeter. Die van IMDb is alle film liefhebbers van de hele wereld.

Extreem voorbeeld: Er is een Nederlandse film die alleen door Nederlanders begrepen kan worden. Deze zal op MovieMeter dan wellicht een hoger gemiddelde hebben dan op IMDb, want een deel van de stemmers op IMDb snappen niets van die film en geven hem een laag cijfer (aangenomen dat er dus mensen buiten Nederland de film ook gezien hebben). Aangezien hier ook alleen Nederlandstaligen stemmen vind ik MovieMeter dus representatiever dan IMDb.

Nee, ik blijf met het MM-gemiddelde werken. Is voor mij het meest praktisch. Dan hoef ik namelijk niet op de uitslag van de shoot-out te wachten en dat is prettig als ik wat minder tijd heb.

Zo zijn er vast ook voorbeelden te vinden van films die wel mee doen, maar die weet ik zou gauw niet uit m'n hoofd.
