vr 17/12/04 - Volgens Het Laatste Nieuws staat niets nog een overgang van Thomas Buffel (Feyenoord) naar Glasgow Rangers in de weg. Beide clubs zouden een akkoord hebben en ook de speler zou rond zijn met de Schotse club.

Feyenoord wil het nieuws nog niet officieel bevestigen, maar Buffel zelf gaat persoonlijk akkoord met voorwaarden die de Schotten stellen.

Het zou het einde betekenen van Buffels martelgang bij Feyenoord, waar hij veel meer dan hem lief is op de bank moet plaatsnemen van trainer Ruud Gullit.

Rode Duivel Buffel speelt al sinds zijn tienerjaren bij Feyenoord, maar wil graag verse lucht opsnuiven. Mogelijk wordt de transfer eerstdaags officieel bekendgemaakt. Over een transfersom is (nog) niets bekend.

De Rangers vechten in de Schotse competitie, zoals vanouds, een titelduel uit met eeuwige rivaal Celtic, de club van Joos Valgaeren. In de Uefebeker werd Rangers woensdag op een pijnlijke manier uitgeschakeld.

Volgens Thomas Buffel is zijn overgang naar Glasgow Rangers een stuk minder zeker dan diverse berichten in de media doen vermoeden. De Belg van Feyenoord zegt in de Belgische krant De Morgen dat er nog niets rond is. "Rangers heeft bij mijn weten nog altijd geen concreet bod gedaan bij Feyenoord."

Viola announce Cruz bid

Fiorentina’s new President has publicly confirmed a January swoop for Inter benchwarmer Julio Ricardo Cruz.


“We have a strong investment in mind to strengthen our attacking potential,” explained Andrea Della Valle. “There is a list of names and at the top is Cruz, who I am personally a real fan of.”


This isn’t the first time that the Argentine has been linked to a January move away from the San Siro, but it an important statement of intent from the Viola.


Nicknamed ‘Il Jardinero’ – the Gardener – Cruz joined Bologna from Feyenoord in the summer of 2000, going on to score 27 goals in three seasons.

He has been pushed on to the sidelines at Inter with Adriano, Christian Vieri, Obafemi Martins and Alvaro Recoba ahead in the pecking order.

Transfers: Trabelsi Temptation

As the January transfer window approaches we bring you the latest rumours surrounding Serie A sides, including the fate of Hatem Trabelsi.

The Tunisian international is out of contract in 2006 and Ajax are ready to part with him early in order to make a profit. Inter, Juventus and Roma have long been linked with Trabelsi, but they face competition from Arsenal.

Bologna have struggled this season and are preparing for two major swoops in January. Coach Carlo Mazzone has requested Marco Materazzi (pictured), who has been pushed on to the Inter bench by Roberto Mancini’s favourite Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Another target for the Stadio Dall’Ara side is Udinese striker David Di Michele, although he is reportedly closer to Palermo tactician Francesco Guidolin, where he could support Luca Toni.

Parma are looking to pluck some talents out of Serie B with Ternana hero Giorgio Di Vicino attracting interest. The 24-year-old midfielder is a set-piece specialist and also of interest to Reggina, but the Gialloblu would offer Marco Donadel as part of the move.

The Tardini side could also be losing players, as Australian international Vincenzo Grella is set to leave in January. Lazio seems like the most probable destination, where he would hook up with his former Empoli teammate Tommaso Rocchi.

Lazio linked with Parker

Lazio have had talks with Chelsea over the loan of midfielder Scott Parker. The former Charlton player has been a fringe player and the London side are looking to further his footballing education in Italy. Former Charlton teammate Paolo Di Canio is sure that Parker could help them for the second part of the season and the England player could join them in January.


Kallon going nowhere

Monaco striker Mohamed Kallon will not be moving to the Premiership, after Birmingham boss Steve Bruce confirmed he wants the on loan Inter striker. "He is fine here and wants to stay," said manager Didier Deschamps. "If I signed him, it is for him to stay."


Batigol wants England move

Gabriel Batistuta has confirmed he is considering an offer from England. The 35-year-old former Fiorentina legend is currently playing in Qatar with Al-Arabi and has another six months left to run on his contract. "I want to play in a competitive league where the fans celebrate your goals and commiserate your misses. I have received an offer from England which I am seriously considering."


Ujfalusi flirts with Man U

Fiorentina defender Tomas Ujfalusi is being linked with a move to Manchester United. The Czech Republic international has been watched several times by United scouts and reports suggests a summer move is likely.


Dyer wants Inter switch

Newcastle United's England winger Kieron Dyer has reportedly informed Inter that he would love to join them. Patron Massimo Moratti is prepared to offer midfielder Kily Gonzalez, Giorgios Karagounis and defender Carlos Gamarra in part exchange. However, Newcastle boss Graeme Souness prefers his former Galatasaray protégé Emre.

Feyenoord haalt De Graaf nu al op bij RBC

Edwin de Graaf komt een half jaar eerder dan gepland naar Feyenoord. De Rotterdammers laten de middenvelder van RBC Roosendaal al in de winterstop overkomen nu Shinji Ono mogelijk zes weken buitenspel staat met een enkelblessure.
De Graaf werd door Feyenoord afgelopen zomer al gecontracteerd maar bleef op huurbasis bij RBC. In de zomer van 2005 zou de 24-jarige Zoetermeerder zich in De Kuip melden. Buiten de onzekere toekomst van Ono kan de selectie sowieso meer concurrentie gebruiken, oordeelt Ruud Gullit.

Naast De Graaf komen ook de verdedigers André Bahia (Flamengo) en Ivan Bandalovski (Litex Litovech) de selectie in de winterstop versterken. Daarbij hoopt Gullit meer spelers aan te kunnen trekken die voor een kwalitatieve injectie kunnen zorgen.

Liverpool bid £3.5m for Morientes

Liverpool are believed to have tabled a £3.5m bid for Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes. Boss Rafael Benitez wants Morientes to strengthen his team, with Djibril Cisse out for the season with a broken leg.

BBC Sport understands that Liverpool have been told to double their bid for the 28-year-old Spanish international. Morientes, who has lost his place at the Bernabeu following the arrival of former Liverpool striker Michael Owen, is also wanted by Monaco. Liverpool believe Morientes is keen to move to Merseyside and hope a compromise deal of £5m can be agreed.
