The BBC's Controller Continuing Drama Series John Yorke has developed a new plan to give viewers EastEnders at its best, building upon the hard work of the team who have managed the show in recent times.
Part of the plan involves a production reshuffle with John bringing back show heavyweights including Story Advisor Tony Jordan and Head Of Production Nigel Taylor.
Executive Producer Kathleen Hutchison and Series Producer Sharon Hughff will be leaving the show having completed their task of managing this period of transition.
John Yorke said: "Kathleen has done a fantastic job of managing EastEnders during this period of change - I am very grateful to her for all her hard work and for leaving the show in such a strong position for us to build on."
Kathleen Hutchison added: "I have enjoyed my brief time at EastEnders and wish the show the very best."

EASTENDERS was nearly taken off air for two weeks in a row over plot changes.
Producer Kathleen Hutchison has agreed to leave the soap after a crisis involving last-minute script rewrites.
New BBC drama boss John Yorke took control of the show himself.
Hutchison left the set on Wednesday after just three months in charge.
A show insider said: "It had descended into chaos.
"The cast were coming in having learned their lines to find scripts ripped up and new ones in their place.
"They were having to work weekends to make sure scenes were filmed.
"Plots were constantly binned, filming was becoming dangerously late. The cast were up in arms, and the storylines were all over the place. John Yorke considered taking the show off air for two weeks to get everybody back on track."
Hutchison left the studios in Elstree, Herts, without saying goodbye. She said later: "I’ve enjoyed my brief time at EastEnders and wish the show the very best."
Yorke was angry that she axed the Ferreiras, Dirty Den and Juley — and planned more cuts.
Hutchison is one of the BBC’s most respected producers, whose hits include Casualty and Holby City. At Albert Square, she presided over new storylines for Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) and Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman).
EastEnders said: "Kathleen is leaving by mutual consent."
The BBC said: "Under no circumstances would we let EastEnders be taken off air."

BARBARA Windsor finally agreed to return to EastEnders - after controversial boss Kathleen "The Hatchet" Hutchison was axed.
Barbara, who has been off work with a virus since 2002, was known to be unhappy with executive producer Hutchison at the helm.
An insider said: "There's no love lost between her and Kathleen.
"But Babs is the one who's going to bring in the viewers the show desperately wants. She's one of EastEnders' most popular characters and has been sorely missed."
Reports that EastEnders was in danger of being taken off air due to production problems at the TV soap have been denied by the BBC.
A spokeswoman said newspaper reports were false that the four-times-a-week show faced being taken off air for a fortnight after a storyline shortage.
Executive producer Kathleen Hutchison has also quit the show "by mutual consent" after just four months.
And actress Barbara Windsor will return this summer after two years' absence.
'No crisis'
It was reported that the BBC's new controller of continuing drama series, John Yorke, planned to postpone the show for a fortnight earlier this month.
EastEnders spokeswoman denied the threat existed and said there had been "no crisis meeting" with staff.
"John called all cast members together on Monday for a regular meeting to discuss various things," she said. "I cannot go into further detail."
In January, EastEnders drew its lowest audience share in more than five years with 6.8 million viewers tuning in to one episode - three million less than ITV soap Emmerdale.
EastEnders had fared better at Christmas, however, taking the title for most popular Christmas Day soap with 12.3 million viewers.
Executive producer Kathleen Hutchison, who previously worked on hospital series Holby City, left the show on Wednesday.
Her move followed the departure of the show's series producer Sharon Hughff last week.

Kathleen Hutchison
Ms Hutchison was responsible for a number of changes to EastEnders, including the axing of the unpopular Ferreira family and introduction of new characters such as Alfie Moon's cousin Jake, played by The Office star Joel Beckett.
Ms Hutchison inherited the position from Louise Berridge, who quit EastEnders last September after ratings fell from an average of 13 million viewers at the start of 2004 to 11 million by June.
Ms Hutchison said: "I have enjoyed my brief time at EastEnders and wish the show the very best."
John Yorke, a former executive producer of the show, has been announced as Ms Hutchison's temporary replacement.
He said: "Kathleen has done a fantastic job of managing EastEnders during this period of change - I am very grateful to her for all her hard work and for leaving the show in such a strong position for us to build on."
Meanwhile actress Barbara Windsor said she was "over the moon" to rejoin the show two years after the debilitating Epstein-Barr virus led her to quit.
The 66-year-old made a brief appearance before Christmas when her character Peggy Mitchell attended the wedding of her daughter Sam.
"I had a great couple of weeks when I was there recently, it really reminded me that the Square is where I feel at home," she said.
EastEnders' spokeswoman said the soap's 20th anniversary would be marked on 18 February by the departure of character Den Watts, played by Leslie Grantham, and "the climax of some of the show's most explosive storylines for a very long time".

bronquote:£1M ROSS BACK IN EASTENDERS
Jan 30 2005
Kemp offered £1m to save EastEnders after secret meeting. Stars fear axe as new boss gets set for clearout.
EASTENDERS stars were in fear of their jobs last night after the sensational news that hardman Grant Mitchell is returning to save the stricken soap.
Actor Ross Kemp, 40, has been offered an incredible &L&1 MILLION to come back - but other highly-paid cast veterans may have to go.
New EastEnders boss John Yorke made the dramatic offer to Kemp in a cloak-and-dagger meeting at Elstree studios on Friday night within hours of Yorke taking charge at the sinking soap.
But bookies are now taking bets on who producers will axe to make way for Kemp and his two-year deal.
William Hill's 4/9 odds-on favourite for the chop is Wendy Richard, who plays Pauline Fowler. Then the bookmaking giant offers:
Evens Derek Martin - Charlie Slater and Ricky Groves - Garry Hobbs.
2/1 Adam Woodyatt - Ian Beale.
3/1 Rudolph Walker - Patrick Trueman.
5/1 Perry Fenwick - Billy Mitchell.
5/1 June Brown - Dot Branning.
10/1 Pam St Clement - Pat Evans.
13/1 Natalie Cassidy - Sonia Fowler.
Rival bookies Ladbrokes are slightly kinder to Wendy and make her 5/4 favourite to go.
They also offer 12/1 on James Alexandrou - Martin Fowler.
An EastEnders insider told The People: "There's bound to be some axings. It's going to be a sticky period for the rest of the cast."
The People has learned that new boss Yorke is already planning explosive plotlines that will put Grant back in Walford.
And in another shock twist, producers are also having talks with actor Steve McFadden - who played Kemp's screen brother Phil - to try to reunite the infamous Mitchell clan and halt plummeting ratings.
Kemp, 40, who left the show in 1999, went to Elstree studios in Hertfordshire after a dramatic SOS call from Yorke. The show insider said: "It's just down to details now but Grant Mitchell is on his way back.
"It's a huge coup for the new producers and just what they need to turn EastEnders round and bring back the golden days.
"With Barbara Windsor coming back, what could be better than seeing her and her boys back in the Queen Vic.
"Drastic action was needed and this seems the perfect solution."
Kemp spent ten years as bad-tempered, brawling Walford Square bully Grant Mitchell - and Yorke hopes his return will spark a revival.
EastEnders was almost pulled off air for two weeks after storylines collapsed and viewers turned off.
The show's producer, Kathleen Hutchison, agreed to step down and new BBC drama chief Yorke took personal control. Yorke, a former EastEnders producer, was responsible for a string of top plots, including the "who shot Phil?" storyline and revelations that Zoe Slater was Kat's secret daughter.
Now he has already dumped up to six months of scripts.
And he has brought back veteran writer Tony Jordan and head of production Nigel Taylor to save the show which hit an all-time low of 6.4 million viewers last year.
BBC bosses are pegging their hopes on a reunion of the entire Mitchell clan later this year.
Grant's return could trigger an on-screen bloodbath as he seeks revenge on people he feels has swindled the family.
Barbara Windsor, 67, who has been ill and out of the soap since spring 2003, confirmed last week she is on her way back to play Peggy Mitchell. Insiders say she wanted to return earlier but refused while Hutchison was in charge.
The insider said: "If the cast thought Hutchison was tough they haven't seen anything yet. Yorke will sack stars if he thinks they have run their course."
Bookies reckon it could be bad news for Wendy Richard, who has played Pauline Fowler since the show launched in 1985 and earns nearly &L&200,000 a year.
Pam St Clement has been in the show for 18 years and is suffering from the same problems as Wendy - most of the characters that were associated with her have left.
Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: "It looks like after all these years producers are finally going to put Pauline Fowler out of her misery."
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said: "We expect a flurry of bets over the next couple of weeks as to who will go as more information is leaked."
An EastEnders spokesman said:"We won't speculate on who will be joining us."
But he insisted Wendy still had a major role to play in the future.
Who'll get chop to make way for him?
