Ik heb er 190 gezien en wil zeker de rest ook allemaal nog zien, hoewel ik aan de meeste ook weinig behoefte heb, maar 't is natuurlijk wel heel stoer om ze allemaal gezien te hebben en daar gaat het natuurlijk om.

The Straight Story is zeker de moeite waard, alleen al om de prachtige muziek.

Gold Rush vond ik wel aardig, vooral die scène dat ze in dat huis op die berg hellen. Knap gedaan wel. Verder mee eens, ja. The Great Dictator vond ik echt zeer indrukwekkend. De beelden op de DVD waren ook superstrak. Maar gewoon een zeer gedurfde film en en nog eens sterk uitgevoerd.

Van Fellini en Bergman ga ik waarschijnlijk ook zeer weinig kijken. Ik heb het Zevende Zegel gekeken, maar van al dat gepraat viel ik eerder in slaap.

Zo vind ik Seven Samurai, Rashomon en Yojimbo erg goed, maar The Hidden Fortress al een stuk minder en Throne of Blood niks aan. Wat betekend dat als ik de rest van de plots van zijn films bekijk, dat ik dan geen behoefte meer heb om ze te kijken.

Het leukste vind ik trouwens als ik er pas naderhand achter kom dat een film in de top 250 staat, zoals ik had bij Bride of Frankenstein.

Rashomon vond ik wel goed. Yojimbo echt niet. En waar was al die actie? Misschien 8 minuten in totaal, of zo. Overigens was de DVD die ik keek ook crap, maar goed.

Het begint aardig maar naar het einde toe heb ik er steeds minder gezien.

Als ze wat hoger binnenkomen (top 200 of zo), dan maken die niet-Engelstalige films een kans, maar als ze echter zo rond 240/245 staan, dan zie je plots een hele hoop 1/10 stemmen uit het niets opduiken en dan tuimelt ie weer uit de top 250. Zie ook Raise the Red Lantern, In The Mood for Love, wat Ghibli's en ook Fanny och Alexander (al heeft die laatste net een comeback gemaakt).

Het zijn vrij universeel toegankelijke films.
