Ik ben na twee regels de tekst al kwijt. Ik heb vrienden die zingen Suicidal Tendencies, MDC of The Dead Kennedy's hele albums mee. Ik ben hoogbegaafd maar een geheugenstoornis qua muziek en rijtjes leren. Ik zou het willen kunnen. Zo'n Bob Dylan met z'n Homesick Blues. Dat is bijna autistisch.

Maar er zijn er ook die de tekst op een muziekstandaard (of op papieren op de grond soms in hele grote letters) hebben staan. En sommigen die ik ken kennen de tekst van sommige nummers na jaren nog steeds niet en miemen maar een beetje mee in de hoop dat het niet opvalt tussen de anderen

Grappig, zou zelf juist weer niet weten wat daar moeilijk aan moet zijn. Als ik een nummer een zooi keren hoor zit die tekst er meestal vanzelf wel in (en anders lees ik 'm eens, soms versta je dingen ook verkeerd).
Dat wil zeggen: mits ik er vrijwillig naar luister he. Zooi op de radio die je telkens verplicht hoort maar kut vindt ga ik buiten wat flarden ook niet onthouden.

Verder inderdaad: repeteren. Sommigen lullen zo de hele bijbel of koran op uit hun hoofd, dus een liedje moet dan voor 99% van de mensen ook wel lukken. En als het je eigen liedje is motiveert dat genoeg lijkt me.
Het lijkt me persoonlijk als non-muzikant véél lastiger om een hele gitaar- of drumpartij te onthouden, de zanger heeft het juist makkelijk.
