- The first 15 songs from the "Campioni (Big)" category will be heard again, with the results of that day being determined by a dual voting: 50% televoting and 50% radio jury - no elimination
- The first 2 songs from the "Nuove proposte (Newcomers)" category will be heard for the first time, with the results of that day being determined by a threesome voting: 34% televoting, 33% press, TV and web jury and 33% radio jury - the most voted of the two will go to its category's Final round
3RD DAY - THURSDAY, 13TH FEBRUARY 2025
- The last 15 songs from the "Campioni (Big)" category will be heard again, with the results of that day being determined by a dual voting: 50% televoting and 50% radio jury - no elimination
- The last 2 songs from the "Nuove proposte (Newcomers)" category will be heard for the first time, with the results of that day being determined by a threesome voting: 34% televoting, 33% press, TV and web jury and 33% radio jury - the most voted of the two will go to its category's Final round
4TH DAY - FRIDAY, 14TH FEBRUARY 2025
- COVER DAY: The 30 acts will perform (alongside a guest act or acts of their choice - it could even be with a contestant from the Sanremo 2025 edition) a cover version of either an italian or an non-italian song with the result of that day being determined by a threesome voting: 34% televoting, 33% press, TV and web jury and 33% radio jury - no elimination
- The 2 finalist songs from the "Nuove proposte (Newcomers)" category will be heard again, with the winner being determined by a threesome voting: 34% televoting, 33% press, TV and web jury and 33% radio jury
5TH DAY - SATURDAY, 15TH FEBRUARY 2025
- The 30 songs will be heard again, with the results of that day being determined by a threesome voting: 34% televoting, 33% press, TV and web jury and 33% radio jury
After that, the results of the day will join those of Sanremo 2025's 3 of the previous 4 days*. The sum of those results will then determine the top-5 (*the 4th day's results won't be counted this year)
(Note that during each show, they reveal a part of the results from those days just before the end of the current show... and they show only a part of the provisory general results either just before the end of the current show or at the start of the following show)
- The top-5 will either perform their entries again or a recap will be shown and then the winner will be determined by a threesome voting: 34% televoting, 33% press, TV and web jury and 33% radio jury
POST SANREMO 2025 - EUROVISION SONG CONTEST
- Any of the 30 acts (and its respective record labels) who are interested in going to ESC 2025 will have to fill a special form concerning ESC
- The winning act of Sanremo 2025 is automatically considered to be the ESC 2025 act. The winning act also has first refusal on that matter, though - in case it doesn't accept going to ESC at all, the show's organizing committee will then pick the ESC 2025 act according to their own criteria (this is especially important to those who have filled the form that determines its interest in going to ESC)

Since 2015, RAI has granted the winner of the Sanremo Festival the privilege or right to represent Italy at Eurovision. This essentially meant that if the Sanremo winner refused to participate in Eurovision, RAI could choose any contestant it desired, without necessarily following the final ranking order of the festival.
However, this has changed this year. According to the new regulations, RAI is now required to respect the final ranking. If the winner declines the chance to compete in Eurovision, RAI must select the highest-ranked artist who is willing to represent Italy.
This rule modification is particularly significant this year, as the two major favorites for victory on Saturday, Simone Cristicchi and Giorgia, are both considered unlikely to accept the opportunity to represent Italy in Basel this May.
Cristicchi has stated that after the festival, he will return to his theater commitments, while Giorgia, in her previous participation in Sanremo in 2023, mentioned in interviews that she believes Eurovision is more suitable for younger artists.
Of course, nothing is certain, as both may change their minds and accept the challenge of representing Italy at Eurovision if they win Sanremo 2025.
All Sanremo 2025 contestants must submit a signed declaration before the final on Saturday, February 15, confirming that they accept the possibility of representing Italy at Eurovision if they win. This allows RAI to immediately determine whether the Sanremo winner will also be the country’s Eurovision representative.
The only time the Sanremo winners refused to participate in Eurovision was in 2016, when the band Stadio declined the opportunity. As a result, RAI selected Francesca Michielin, who had finished second in the festival. Michielin ultimately placed 16th in Stockholm, one of Italy’s worst Eurovision results.
Given all this, the final ranking—especially the top five placements—carries even greater significance this year, as both the winner and the runner-up might decline Eurovision participation. Saturday night promises to be long and filled with suspense!
