VIENNA, August 18. /TASS/. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi may visit the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant in the near future, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Vienna-based international organizations Mikhail Ulyanov said.
"In its latest bulletin, the agency reiterated Rafael Grossi’s readiness to pay a visit to the Kursk NPP to assess the situation. Bearing in mind the current alarming situation, I think this can happen rather soon," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Ulyanov, Grossi responded to Russia’s invitation to visit the Kursk NPP promptly.
Earlier, CEO of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Alexey Likhachev invited Grossi to visit the Kursk NPP and the city of Kurchatov as soon as possible to see for himself the situation around the nuclear facility. In a phone call with the IAEA chief, Likhachev stressed that situation around the nuclear plant kept on deteriorating.
On August 9, Russia notified the IAEA about the situation around the Kursk NPP amid Ukraine’s attempted attack on Russia’s borderline Kursk Region. It said that fragments of downed missiles had been reportedly found in the facility’s territory.

Het IAEA trapt elke keer weer in de Russische verhaaltjes en leugens. En is nooit echt kritisch over Rusland. Tevens gebruikt Rusland het IAEA om hun zin te krijgen en om druk uit te oefenen op Oekraïne.quote:

Het IAEA kreeg geen toegang tot de daadwerkelijk plek waar de brand was, en ook niet tot de koelbad (of hoe dat maar heet) die er onder zit.
Maar ondertussen papagaaien zij wel het verhaal die zij gekregen hebben van het Russische personeel over de zogenaamde droneaanval en de explosies die het personeel gehoord zou hebben na.

Is dat wel de echte Putin? Zijn wangen zijn erg dik, zijn gezicht is in sommige opzichten anders en hij gedraagt zich ook anders dan dat ik van hem gewend is. Natuurlijk zou het de belichting kunnen zijn en mogelijk zie ik spoken. Khodakovsky noted that after two and a half years of war, Russia has suffered colossal losses, and yet it hasn’t even come close to occupying all of Donbas, let alone larger territories. He urged the Kremlin to consider the enormous efforts and resources required to capture new Ukrainian cities and then make a decision to halt the "Special Military Operation." "At some point, the formula that we deplete them faster than we deplete ourselves stopped working on this front. I'll say something heretical: not losing what we have now is more important than reclaiming the ‘foreign’ that may not even want to be reclaimed," Khodakovsky stated.
