A buffer sanitary zone has been established in the part of Russia’s Kursk oblast currently under control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Military commandant’s offices will be set up if necessary.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced this during a joint meeting with Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk.

The Ukrainian authorities are in discussions about granting access to the region for representatives of the UN and the International Red Cross. They plan to open humanitarian corridors to both Ukraine and Russia.

“Our forces strictly adhere to the requirements of international conventions and international humanitarian law,” Zelensky emphasized.

Ukrainian journalist Yurii Butusov, who posted a video of this electronic warfare system, said that the system was found in its original packaging.

These systems were first reported in Russian forces last autumn.

The brigade’s press service reported on this.

During the enemy’s attempt to capture positions held by the 13th Khartiya Brigade, the Russians suffered significant losses in both equipment and personnel.

The successful defense was achieved due to the timely detection and effective planning of fire damage, which enabled the brigade to halt the Russian convoy.

krainian forces are planning to press deeper into Russia as part of their incursion into Kursk, with thousands more ready to enter the fray, a senior Ukrainian colonel has told The Independent.

The colonel, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he is not authorised to speak publicly, said they were planning to create a “buffer zone” in Russia, one that mirrors the area carved out of the nearby Ukrainian region of Kharkiv by Moscow’s troops in May.

​​He also argued that Ukrainians want to hold onto the territory they have taken for use as a bargaining chip in any future peace negotiations.

As Ukraine’s invasion of Russia’s Kursk Oblast barrels into its eighth day, elements of two more Ukrainian air assault brigades—the 82nd and 95th—have joined the fray.

Troopers from the 95th Air Assault Brigade were photographed on their way to the battle zone. Tragically, Russian forces confirmed the presence of the 82nd Air Assault Brigade when they ambushed and killed some of the unit’s troops on the outer edge of the chaotic fight in Kursk.

With the air assault reinforcements, the Ukrainian invasion corps now includes some or all of six front-line brigades plus two independent battalions and supporting drone, artillery, reconnaissance and special forces units. Possibly close to 15,000 troops in all.
