Maar als je ziet hoe ze presteren in de winter, ja wat maakt het misschien ook uit, als je daar zó fantastisch presteert.
Duitsland is ook een groot verschil. Met een voorlopige tiende plek presteren ze op de zomerspelen een stuk minder dan op de winterspelen waar ze vaak de top drie wel halen. Nou ja behalve in Sochi danquote:

Finland is in de winter ook altijd wel goed voor een aantal medailles, maar moet hier moeite doen voor een medaille. Zwitserland en Zweden is op zich nog niet zo slecht - die scoren natuurlijk beter in de winter, maar niet bizar veel beter dan in de zomer over het algemeen, omdat de Zweden vaak toch vooral achter de Noren eindigen op de latten en in alpineskiën niet heel bijzonder zijn. Oostenrijk is wel echt een heel zwak land in de zomerspelen, die hebben vaak moeite om uberhaupt aan medailles te komen.quote:

Canada wordt nu geholpen door McIntosh, maar hebben ook al kansen moeten laten liggen die er echt wel zijn. Maar Canada is sinds de introductie van showsporten en shorttrack wel een van de toplanden in de winter en in de zomer zal dat niet zo zijn.
Groot-Brittannië is dan weer omgekeerd: Dat is van de toplanden in de zomer wel echt het zwakste winterland. Ja, en Australië ook niet bijzonder, maar daar is het nogal warm.
