Het probleem is wel dat er van die 147 miljoen er 13 miljoen in Moskou wonen en in st Petersburg zo'n 6 miljoen. Die kan Poetin niet sturen want dat is zijn machtsbasis. Dus effectief zijn er maar 128 miljoen beschikbaar. Dat wordt krap.quote:

Ja er werd gevochten om geannexeerde gebieden terug te winnen. En ja daar zijn vast ook wel wat burgers slachtoffer van geworden. Maar burgers zelf waren niet het doelwit. Niet zoals burgers en burgerdoelwitten voor Rusland doelwitten zijn.
Na verovering van Oekrane zal Rusland er een potentile 1 miljoen soldaten bij hebben. Waarvan een deel erg ervaren zullen zijn. Ook zal Rusland all het geleverde westerse materieel ter beschikking krijgen. Ook alle grondstoffen en de gehele industrie zal van Rusland zijn. (dit gaat om een totale inname van Oekrane)quote:

De Baltische Staten zullen niet de volgende zijn, want dat zal ongetwijfeld Moldavi zijn, en bijvoorbeeld Georgie (en landen uit die regio). Na elke overwinning zal Rusland sterker worden, meer soldaten ter beschikking krijgen en ook meer materieel. Uiteindelijk zal Rusland zich sterk genoeg wanen om de Baltische Staten aan te vallen.
Dit hoeft niet eens massaal te gebeuren natuurlijk, gewoon een deel afsnoepen, dan op vrede inzetten, zoals zij bij Oekrane aan het doen zijn, bij Moldavi en Georgi nu al gedaan hebben. Dus een deel zich "onafhankelijk" laten verklaren, en die dan te hulp schieten, en er zijn nog andere manieren.
Sowieso zal een inzet van NAVO zo'n 1 tot 2 weken duren voor dat die op poten is gezet. In die tijd zullen landen zoals Hongarije en China gaan inzetten op een vrede, het opgeven van land in ruil hiervoor.
Als het westen niet zo traag was geweest met het leveren van hulp, en niet alle restricties hier aan verbonden hadden. Dan had Oekrane al in een veel betere positie kunnen zitten. Ook het niet leveren van beloofde hulp is een groot probleem.quote:

Quotes appeared over celebrity photos, displaying messages calling to end aid to Ukraine and describing European collapse.
The images were published between June 14-15 by the Kremlin disinformation network Dvoynyk, a representative of the Bot Blocker project told Agentsvo. The fake quotes have since garnered over 500,000 views.
The campaign reportedly began with Dvoynyk publishing 50 fake celebrity quotes and images on the social media platform X, then retweeting them over 120,000 times. Bot Blocker said this was standard for disinformation campaigns of this type, and that the project has recorded six similar operations over the past six months.
The bots published posts in English, French, German, and Polish. The statements were connected to a range of famous people, including Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, Alain Delon, Luc Besson, Elton John, and Lionel Messi.
"We are impoverished, it's time to forget about Ukraine," a quote falsely attributed to the actor Jennifer Aniston says.
A fake Scarlett Johansson quote warns that "the EU is falling apart."
The sentiments are echoed in a fake Elton John statement: "We fell into the Ukrainian trap. Now the EU is collapsing."
The propoaganda campaign began immediately after the EU's parliamentary elections, in which far-right groups made significant gains. Russian disinformation campaigns intensified leading up to the vote in an attempt to sway the outcome.

Tass said that three of the hostage-takers had already been found guilty on several charges, including disseminating extremist information and plotting to blow up a Russian courthouse. One of the men was sentenced to 18½ years in prison, while the other two received 18 years, Tass reported, but said that the verdict hadn’t yet entered legal force.

We reiterated resolutions A/RES/ES-11/1 and A/RES/ES-11/6 adopted at the UN General Assembly and underscored our commitment to upholding International Law including the United Nations Charter.
This Summit was built on the previous discussions that have taken place based on Ukraine’s Peace Formula and other peace proposals which are in line with international law, including the United Nations Charter.
We deeply appreciate Switzerland’s hospitality and its initiative to host the High-Level Summit as expression of its firm commitment to promoting international peace and security.
We had a fruitful, comprehensive and constructive exchange of various views on pathways towards a framework for a comprehensive, just and lasting peace, based on international law, including the United Nations Charter. In particular, we reaffirm our commitment to refraining from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, the principles of sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of all states, including Ukraine, within their internationally recognized borders, including territorial waters, and the resolution of disputes through peaceful means as principles of international law.

Lithuania has transferred a batch of M113 APCs and related vehicles to Ukraine as part of its military assistance program.
This was reported by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense on its official social media pages.
The delivered tracked armored personnel carriers are intended to enhance the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ demining capabilities and represent Lithuania’s contribution to the Coalition for Demining led by Iceland.
The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense also shared a photo of the armored vehicles delivered to Ukraine.
“Lithuania’s M113 armored vehicles have arrived in Ukraine to bolster demining efforts. We are committed to doing whatever victory takes,” stated the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.

Cassis stated that China and Brazil can choose another approach, and this was also about seeking the way to unite these different approaches.

Mr Stoltenberg said nuclear transparency should be the cornerstone of Nato’s nuclear strategy to prepare the alliance for what he described as a more dangerous world.
