Tevens heeft de NAVO aangekondigd dat er twee scenarios zijn waarin zij direct betrokken zullen worden bij de oorlog in Oekrane. Een grote doorbraak van Rusland aan het front en/of wanneer er een ander land direct bij betrokken wordt. Denk aan een Wit-Rusland die een front opent en mee gaat aanvallen.
Ook zijn er een aantal NAVO landen die weten dat zij n van de volgende landen zijn die Rusland zal aanvallen indien Rusland de oorlog in Oekrane wint. Dit zijn de Baltische Staten. Voor hun is het dus extra belangrijk dat Oekrane de oorlog niet verliest.
Landen in de NAVO (en dus de NAVO) hebben inderdaad geen behoefte om in een directe oorlog met Rusland te komen. Maar als wij Rusland laten winnen zal dit haast onvermijdelijk worden (Als het niet over een paar jaar is dan is het zeker wel in de volgende 20 jaar).
Dus totaal onrealistisch is het uitlokken van een artikel 5 niet. Maar zo ver is het slechts een gedachtegang van mij. Maar het feit is wel dat Rusland op dit ogenblik op zijn zwakst is, en dat zal niet altijd zo blijven.

Uiteraard is dit slechts een theorie. Daar het niet zeker is over de serienummers netjes oplopen. Het zou niet de eerste keer zijn dat dit niet het geval is natuurlijk. Je wil de vijand niet wijzer maken dan dat ze al zijn.
Maar geheel buiten de verwachtingen is dit aantal ook niet als je naar het aantal aanvallen in Oekrane kijkt met deze bommen.

In lees heel veel onzin in dit topic. Artikel 5 is geen automatisch iets of gehoor aan geven. Een land kan beroep doen op artikel 5 en daarna bepalen alle landen samen of ze een reactie willen geven in welke aard dan ook.quote:

It is suspected that Russia might be trying to compel European countries into tightening security across the entire supply chain. This, in turn, could lead to increased costs and a slowdown in deliveries.
Andrea Kendall-Taylor, a former US intelligence officer and a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security, suggests Russia’s strategy might be to undermine European commitment to supporting Ukraine. “Russia’s strategy is one of divide and conquer,” according to Kendall-Taylor. While the success of this tactic remains uncertain, she emphasizes the critical need for a unified response from both Europe and the United States to effectively counter these sabotage attempts.
“Right now, it’s not a very costly strategy for Russia because we are all responding separately. That is why it is important that over time, we collectivize the response.”
Warnings from NATO and European leaders of a covert war have been on the rise. Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas recently described Russia’s actions as a “shadow war” against Europe.
Additionally, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the arrest of 9 individuals suspected of carrying out violent acts, including beatings and arson attempts, on behalf of Russian intelligence.

Maar daadwerkelijk in oorlog geraken met Rusland is een gigantische stap. Dat zie ik niet gebeuren.
