In court, the prosecutor proved that the man deliberately set up an "observation point" at his own dacha, located near the contact line in Zaporizhzhya," the report said.

The convict, disguised as a dacha dweller, visited a garden community and collected information about the locations of deployment, movement of the AFU and military equipment in the Zaporizhzhya direction.

He sent the information to the representative of the aggressor country via Telegram.

The man will be kept in custody until the verdict enters into legal force.

The suspect in the case, who was allegedly involved in the murder of a Russian military officer and had passed details of Russian military positions to Ukraine, resisted arrest, according to the FSB, and was killed in an exchange of fire.

The FSB also announced several other arrests this week, including a woman arrested in annexed Crimea on Monday for planning to set fire to railway infrastructure “at the behest of the Ukrainian secret services” and a man detained in the Russian border region of Belgorod on Thursday for “adhering to Ukrainian nationalist ideology”.

During the 2017 Catalan independence crisis, Escobar wrote that Spain lived in a state of permanent fascism. In 2022, Escobar said that US president Biden was a puppet of Hillary Clinton and the US establishment, who are motivated by Russophobia and aim to sever the link between Russia and the European economy. The Spanish newspaper ABC wrote that some of Escobar's writings were "the usual ones of Russian disinformation: 'Yankee' imperialism, NATO excesses, Russian victimization".[35]
