Lang maar erg interessant artikel over hoe de ex Chief Operating Officer (COO) van Wirecard, Jan Marsalek, een Russische spion bleek te zijn. En hoe hij mede verantwoordelijk was voor het te gronde richten van Wirecard. Uiteindelijk is hij onder de naam van een Russische priester naar Rusland gevlucht via Wit-Rusland en de Krim. Vanuit Rusland is hij nog steeds bezig met zijn werk voor de Russische geheime dienst. “There have been cases when they bought our wounded from the Russian military, took them to [the Chechen capital of] Grozny, and then exchanged them for their own,” he said.
Buyout for exchange
Chechen ethnic paramilitary groups actively participated in fierce fighting in the first months of the war, and many of their soldiers were captured. Therefore, they are trying to get their fighters back.
However, due to the lack of their own “exchange fund” due to the constant presence of ethnic units in the rear, their leaders seem to have decided to buy POWs for exchange from other Russian units.
One of these people was 41-year-old Viacheslav Levytskyi. He was taken prisoner of war by the militants of the so-called “DPR” in February 2023 and later sold to the Chechens.
He had been shot in both legs and abdomen during a night raid on his position in the woods north of Avdiyivka. When he regained consciousness, he spent several days crawling across the frozen ground, searching for his unit.
He eventually arrived at a Ukrainian position but discovered that the enemy had seized it. According to him, the Russian invaders did not provide him with any medical care. They beat him with a spade, hoping to force him to reveal the wavelength used by Ukrainian radio operators.
However, two days later, he was taken to the Chechens a few kilometers from the front and told he was going to Grozny.
As soon as Viacheslav arrived in the Chechen capital, he was taken to the hospital, where both legs and both hands were amputated because they were frostbitten.
After recovering in the hospital, Viacheslav was taken to the basement, where he was kept together with 60 other Ukrainian prisoners of war who were being prepared for an exchange for five Chechens. In June 2023, he returned home during the exchange along with 39 other Ukrainians.

A Russian convoy of four golf carts was neutralized on the approach with cluster munitions. Due to the lack of any protection, the infantry in it was hit by the wreckage.

Dat gecombineerd met gelocatie, live beelden etc maakt het interessant om te kijken als je in beeld en geluid wil zien wat er aan het front gebeurt.

Ik had me nooit gerealiseerd dat Polen, Roemeni en Hongarije ook een stukje Oekraine zouden mogen hebben. Maar goed, die zijn natuurlijk ook ernstig gepubliceerd door de NAVO 🙂.
Eigenlijk bizar in hoeverre het plan lijkt op de manier hoe Stalin en Hitler Polen verdeelden, zeker ook als je hoort dat Medvedev nog toevoegde dat Russische grenzen nergens ophouden.

Lithuanian farmers complained that the volume of Russian goods has risen sharply in recent years, destabilizing markets across the EU.
"These are impressive figures, with over 3 million tons of Russian grain having passed through Latvia and Lithuania combined in 2023," said Ausrys Macijauskas, the head of the Lithuania Association of Grain Growers.

Russia claimed that Ukrainian drones attacked Kursk, Voronezh, and Belgorod oblasts early on March 6, allegedly causing a warehouse fire in the first of the three regions.
Bordering Ukraine, regional officials in Kursk, Belgorod, and Voronezh oblasts often report on Ukrainian cross-border attacks. Kyiv does not usually comment on these claims.
The fire broke out in a lubricant warehouse in Kursk Oblast's Zheleznogorsky district, said Roman Starovoyt, the regional governor.
According to the Russian official, a fuel tank ignited as a result of the attack. Emergency services are working on site, and no casualties were reported, he added.
The Russian Telegram channel 112 claimed that a drone targeted the Mikhailovsky Mining and Processing Plant in Zheleznogorsk.
Starovoyt reported later during the day that a second drone hit the Zheleznogorsk warehouse, noting that there were no casualties.
At least three drones were allegedly shot down also over Voronezh Oblast on the morning of March 6, the Russian state-owned news agency RIA Novosti claimed, citing regional officials.
Voronezh Oblast Governor Alexander Gusev claimed that no civilians were injured, adding that other consequences of the supposed strike are being determined.
The Russian Telegram channel Astra claimed that residents of the Voronezh Oblast town of Anna heard explosions near a local oil depot. Another local Telegram channel, Baza, alleged that a drone tried to attack the military airbase Baltimor (Voronezh Malshevo) but was shot down before reaching it.
One drone was downed over Belgorod Oblast at 9 a.m. local time, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed without elaborating on the consequences.
The Kyiv Independent could not verify the claims.
In recent months, Russian authorities began reporting an increasing number of drone strikes targeting Belgorod, Bryansk, Oryol, and Leningrad oblasts, as well as other regions.
In turn, Ukraine reported a massive drone attack by Russia overnight on March 6. The Ukrainian Air Force said that 38 of the 42 Shahed-type attack drones were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses.

Lang maar erg interessant artikel over hoe de ex Chief Operating Officer (COO) van Wirecard, Jan Marsalek, een Russische spion bleek te zijn.
