Welkom in het Nintendo Switch-topic op FOK! Wat is Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo Switch is de nieuwste console van Nintendo en de opvolger van WiiU. De basis van Switch is een tablet-achtig apparaat (6,2 inch scherm, 720p) die je thuis in een docking station zet maar net zo gemakkelijk mee neemt op reis. In de preview trailer wordt het hele concept in iets meer dan drie minuten uitgelegd en beter kunnen wij het ook niet uitleggen.
Tof! Wanneer kan ik ermee spelen?
Sinds 3 maart 2017 is de Switch, die regiovrij is, wereldwijd te koop. In Nederland ligt de prijs op zo'n 329 euro en voor dat geld krijg je de Switch, twee Joycon-controllers, een Joycon Grip, een docking station (met adapter) en een HDMI-kabel. Er wordt geen game meegeleverd tenzij het een speciale bundel betreft (de prijs ligt dan uiteraard wat hoger).
Switch 2019-model
Sinds de zomer van 2019 is er een nieuwe versie van de Nintendo Switch verschenen. Deze heeft vooral een langere batterijduur in handheldmode, zo'n vijf uur tegenover drie van het launch model. De 2019-versie gaat momenteel voor 329 euro en het oude model (mits nog voorradig) is dan vaak een paar tientjes goedkoper.
Switch Lite
Op 20 september verscheen de Switch Lite. Dit is een handheld only variant; zonder losse Joycon en zonder mogelijkheid om op de tv te spelen. De prijs ligt dan ook zo'n 100 euro lager. De Switch Lite is er in vier varianten: Turquoise, Geel, Grijs en een Pokemon limited edition die ietsje duurder is.
