'Avicii paedophile ring' starts trending as bizarre theory sweeps web
AVICII has been surrounded by rumours he was trying to expose a paedophile ring before he died.
Opinion piece site Neon Nettle speculated that Avicii, who died age 28 in Oman earlier this month, was trying to expose a paedophile ring in his music video For A Better Day.
However, many have slammed the rumours surrounding the Wake Me Up star as unfounded.
Avicii's family have also heavily implied the star died by suicide in a statement.
Website Neon Nettle attempted to draw parallels between the death of Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, and the passings of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington in July 2017.
The site claims that these two other musicians "were allegedly working together to expose a paedophile ring operating in the music industry" at the moment of their untimely deaths.
However, website Snopes labelled this a "fabricated story published by Your News Wire, Neon Nettle’s partner in fake news crime".
Snopes also referred to the fact that Avicii acknowledged at the time of its release in 2015 that the music video For A Better Day was intended to raise awareness for the issue of child trafficking (particularly in war-torn countries).
The website added: "It wasn't a coded attempt to furtively 'expose' a particular child trafficking ring."
The For A Better Day music video features unsettling imagery as hooded traffickers go on a killing spree of adults in their way, including a politician played by actor Krister Henriksson.
It shows two children rushing through fields to escape, only to be forced barely clothed into a traffickers’ car.
YouTube comments under the video add fuel to the fire with their theories.
One wrote: "Avicii knew too much. The Globalist pedophiles got to him. RIP."
While another said: "Tried to expose pedophiles in music industries... BAM dead like Chester Benington and Chris Cornell... "
And a third wrote: "They killed him because of this video exposing elite pedophiles."

Fijn hoor dat jij dat denkt, maar dat is gewoon onzin. Er is natuurlijk wel een schaal in de mate van introvertie/extravertie, maar je bent niet vandaag introvert en morgen extravert. Introverte mensen kunnen best behoefte hebben aan gezelschap, maar dan van mensen die ze volledig vertrouwen. Situaties met mensen die ze niet kennen en waar ze niet vertrouwd mee zijn kost introverte mensen doorgaans veel energie. Daarom vond ik het ook zo mooi hoe hij in die docu aangaf dat hij zo'n hekel aan small talk had. Volgens mij is toeren een aaneenschakeling van situaties die voor introverte mensen veel energie kosten. Even een babbeltje met die, meet & greet met die, radiointerviewtje daar, tv optreden hier. Hij zat gewoon veel liever in z'n eentje of met vrienden in een studio te produceren.quote:

Ik hoorde het idd net op de radio. Zichzelf gesneden met een scherf van een fles. Ik vermoed dat hij een terugval heeft gehad met drank en drugs en zichzelf zo haatte op het moment dat hij tot dit gekomen is.
