1 Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Chrono Trigger zal voor mij waarschijnlijk altijd de beste game ooit blijven. Ik was zo onder de indruk toen ik die game voor het eerst speelde, eigenlijk is dat nooit meer overtroffen. Heb de game, als een van de weinige, meerdere keren uitgespeeld. De DS remake was ook erg goed en voegde een boeiend extra einde toe. Geweldige soundtrack, emotioneel verhaal, beste in-game crew en fantastisch gevechtssysteem. Simpelweg de beste game ooit.
2 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)
Breath of the Wild is nog geen half jaar oud en schaar ik nu al bij de beste games die ik ooit gespeeld heb. Zo goed is die game ja. De mate van vrijheid is ongeëvenaard. Na de introductie krijg je letterlijk de opdracht: daar is het kasteel, ga de eindbaas maar verslaan. Succes! Er is echter zo ontzettend veel meer te doen en te ontdekken en je kunt overal naar toe, alles beklimmen. Elk personage voegt iets toe aan de wereld, zelfs de Korok seeds. Prachtig, en de game met de beste trailer ooit.
3 Earthbound (SNES)
Een SNES-game die ik pas twintig jaar na de release speelde, met dank aan het ontzettend gare lokalisatiebeleid van Nintendo of Europe in de jaren 90. Gelukkig was de game het wachten waard. Een vreemde game, waarbij het begin even doorbijten was. Daarna ontvouwde Earthbound zich als een waar avontuur waarin je weer even kind voelt. Game met de beste aftiteling ooit!
4 The Witcher 3 (incl. DLC) (PS4)
The Witcher 3 had even nodig om zijn ware kracht te laten zien. In het begin was ik gewoon icoontjes op een wereldkaart aan het afwerken. Vervolgens ging ik een Heks afwerken en op een gegeven moment vond ik Ciri en Yennefer Langzaam werd ik verliefd op de wereld, haar personages en de setting. Uiteindelijk zorgde de DLC Blood & Wine ervoor dat ik helemaal zeker was: The Witcher 3 is een absoluut meesterwerk. Game met de beste DLC ooit!
5 Super Mario 64 (N64)
Er zijn maar weinig 3D games uit de jaren 90 die de tand des tijds hebben overleefd. Het begon allemaal erg lelijk met anderhalve polyon op je scherm. Het is Nintendo echter gelukt om een tijdloze game te maken, eentje die de ware kracht van de Nintendo 64 direct op launch al liet zien. Strakke controls en een Mario die moeiteloos de stap naar 3D maakte. Game met de beste level-hub ooit!

Goed initiatief wederom. Zijn toch een paar titels bijgekomen de afgelopen twee jaar. Hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer bij mij is Breath of the Wild, grootste stijger is Witcher 3 mede door de DLC.

Dat hebben ze gedaan omdat er buitenproportioneel veel muziek van het huidige jaar in de lijst voorkwam. En veel van die nummers waren een jaar later flink gedaald of zelfs helemaal verdwenen.quote:Op zondag 20 augustus 2017 01:42 schreef Beathoven het volgende:

In MUZ wordt de regel vaak toegepast dat alleen albums van voor de jaargang in de eindlijst worden meegenomen. Zal wel ergens z'n oorsprong hebben in bepaalde hitlijsten, of omdat het jaar nog niet afgelopen is oid. ik weet daar het fijne niet van. Maar goed, wij cappen niet.
De hype van dit moment telde zwaar mee dus. Niet eens zo vreemd, wat je nu luistert (of voor dit topic: speelt) onthou je makkelijk en zet je sneller in de lijst.
Leuk dat deze top 100 weer gehouden wordt. Als blijkt dat dit ook als probleem bij games is, dan kunnen we deze regel altijd in een volgende editie toepassen. Ik ga me later nog wel bezig houden met mijn lijst.
