Duidelijk signaal dat Turkije geen andere organisatie dan ISIS tolereert aan haar grens.
heb jij het artikel wel gelezen?quote:According to HDN sources, who asked not to be named, the “active support” that Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu’s government seeks from the military ranges from long-range artillery fire (not only in retaliatory terms) against the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) positions in Syrian territory to air operations, and includes entering Syria with land forces to secure a strip along the Turkish border.

quote:A rebel mortar attack killed four civilians on Sunday in the Syrian capital as government forces battled Islamic State group jihadists in the northern city of Hasakeh, a monitor said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a mortar round struck Revolution Street in central Damascus, killing four people and wounding 13.
Syria's state-run SANA news agency also reported the attack but said three people died.
In Hasakeh, regime troops pressed an offensive they launched on Saturday to dislodge IS from districts they have seized in the southern part of the city.
The Britain-based Observatory, which has been monitoring the Syrian conflict since it erupted four years ago, said the troops and militants were locked in fierce fighting Sunday.
The jihadist group blew up an explosive-rigged vehicle in Hasakeh, the monitor said, without mentioning casualties.
IS seized two neighbourhoods in southern Hasakeh on Thursday in a new attempt to seize the provincial capital, causing tens of thousands of people to flee, according to the United Nations.
Meanwhile, government reinforcements have poured into Hasakeh, and Kurdish fighters, who control the city jointly with regime loyalists, have also taken part in the battles.
IS also tried to seize Hasakeh last month, but was pushed back by government forces.
The Observatory, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria, also reported on Sunday that the number of civilians killed by IS in the border town of Kobane had risen to 223.
The IS killing spree began after the extremists entered the Kurdish town at dawn on Thursday.
Kurdish fighters repelled the jihadists Saturday, and bodies, including of women and children -- some shot at close range -- were found in homes and in the streets.

quote:Since the beginning of the insurgency, the so-called “Free Syrian Army (FSA)” has spared no area to demonstrate its cruelty against actors, journalists, TV presenters, sportsmen, doctors, public officials, protesters, ordinary citizens, young and old.
It is enough for anyone to express sympathy with the Syrian authorities or the regular army, or to reject the armed insurgency in order to suffer abduction, torture, humiliation and liquidation.
Last week, the latest victim was one of the famous characters of the touristic city of Aleppo, known as the "the Yellow Man."
Syria: the Yellow Man of AleppoFor about thirty years, Abu Zakour used to walk in the old souks of Aleppo, dressed in lemon yellow from hair to shoes, including his mobile phone and his rosary. The yellow man earns his living from a monthly salary offered by the municipality, as well as from taking photos for tourists.
Unfortunately, the 70 years of age have not saved him neither from being kidnapped by the FSA militiamen, nor to be taken by the "security committee of the revolution" (security body created by the insurgents), who slapped his face, humiliated and insulted him, claiming he is "a collaborator of the regime."
The images that filmed the humiliating abuse against the Yellow Man are incredibly violent: One of the kidnappers put his foot on the head, asked him to bark and say that he loves the FSA. Other insurgents succeeded in pulling his whiskers.
While taking pictures, the FSA gunmen curiously recalled the abuses of American torturers in the Abu-Greib prison.
quote:WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said that leaked documents from Saudi ministries show that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey had a secret deal in 2012 to topple the Syrian government.
In an interview given to Rossiya-1 (Russia 1) TV channel published on Sunday, Assange said that the United States, France, and Britain had been involved in that deal, noting that the documents show an increasing degree of autonomy among the allies of the U.S. in the region, with these allies acting in a more aggressive manner and even going against the directives of the U.S. in some instances, despite the fact that in the past, Saudi Arabia had been considered a loyal servant of the U.S. in the Middle East.
WikiLeaks had begun releasing around half a million official Saudi documents and cables, including classified correspondence between Saudi Embassies and the Saudi Foriegn Ministries, in addition to Interior Ministry and General Intelligence Agency documents and reports.
