Late next week
Once again, more widespread severe t-storms possible in the central and southern Plains, possibly extending into parts of Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana.
Severe t-storms are possible each day in these areas from next Thursday into next weekend (Apr. 30 - May 1).
Overall outbreak potential: Too soon to tell, but could be at least moderate

There is the potential for a damaging and dangerous severe weather outbreak to unfold next Tuesday and continue into Wednesday over part of the central United States.
Families, individuals and emergency managers should review severe weather safety plans at this time. The pattern unfolding warrants communities to be prepared ahead of the situation.
"All modes of severe weather are likely, including tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds," according to AccuWeather Assistant Director of Storm Warning Services Andrew Gagnon.

The central U.S. braced for a big severe weather outbreak Tuesday: Violent, destructive tornadoes were possible in and around cities such as Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Dallas and Wichita, Kan.
This will likely be the biggest severe weather outbreak of the year so far, AccuWeather predicts.
The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) placed a swath from southern Nebraska to central Kansas and central Oklahoma in a "moderate risk" zone for severe storms.
A moderate risk is the second-highest of the five categories SPC uses for possible severe weather, according to weather.com.
Cities such as San Antonio, Austin and Kansas City were all in a "slight" risk area for severe storms Tuesday.
"The storms on Tuesday have the greatest potential to produce numerous tornadoes, including some strong (wedge) tornadoes that could be on the ground for an extended period of time," AccuWeather's Andrew Gagnon said.
Wedge tornadoes are tornadoes that are at least as wide as they are tall, according to AccuWeather, and they are known to cause damage and cover a lot of territory.
Several school systems in Oklahoma had closed for the day due to the storm threat, according to the Daily Oklahoman.

On this date back in 1991, a large outbreak of tornadoes impacted the eastern Plains. A total of 70 tornadoes were reported and two of those were rated F5. A total of 21 people were killed and over 300 injured.
