Turkish intelligence chief: ISIS is a reality and we are optimistic about the future
ISIS is a reality and we have to accept that we cannot eradicate a well-organized and popular establishment such as the Islamic State; therefore I urge my western colleagues to revise their mindset about Islamic political currents and not be cynical at all,” said Mr. Hakan Fidan during a press conference in Istanbul on Wednesday.
Fidan added that in order to deal with the vast number of foreign Jihadists craving to travel to Syria, it is imperative that ISIS must set up a consulate or at least a political office in Istanbul. He further underlined that it is Turkey’s firm belief to provide medical care for all injured people who fled Syria regardless of their political or religious affiliation.

'Arabieren' uit Syrië, Irak en Libanon zien er heel anders uit dan de Golfarabieren en de Noord-Afrikaanse Arabieren. Genetische is er ook veel verschil. Arabieren moeten niet als een 'ras' beschouwd worden wat wel veel gezegd wordt.

Heerlijk nieuws! En het blijft genieten dat de Sultan knieval na knieval moet maken. Nu 200 man, later nog eens 1000. Geen no-fly zone, geen bufferzone, geen opheffing van Koerdische autonomie bij de grens met Turkije. En de Sultan isoleert zich steeds meer. En Assad still growing strong. De door de Sultan gesteunde rebellen moeten elke dag terrein toezeggen aan de SAA, dat doet ook pijn want het liefst wil hij Assad weg hebben en nog liever dan ook een flink stuk inlijven onder het mom van "bufferzone".

Het aantal Duitsers dat zich bij de Koerdische terreurbeweging PKK aansluit, neemt gestaag toe.
Ongeveer vijftig Duitsers zijn naar Irak en Syrië gereisd om daar met de PKK tegen de terreurorganisatie Islamitische Staat te vechten, schrijft Der Spiegel zondag.
Speciaal daarvoor opgeleide recruiters werven de potentiële strijders, aldus veiligheidsbronnen. Na ideologische scholing in Nederland en België, krijgen de PKK-strijders militaire training in Turks grensgebied.
Voor de Duitse veiligheidsdiensten is het moeilijker om deze strijders tegen te houden dan de jihadisten. Ze zijn amper van andere reizigers te onderscheiden en plaatsen geen foto's op sociale media.
