Battle for Morek Intesifies; Tiger Forces Attack Tal Itmeen in Hama
The Syrian Arab Army’s 11th Tank Division has continued its success on the Morek front in west Hama, pushing southeast from the recently captured Tank Battalion Base. The 11th Division routed an Islamic Front contingent on Morek-Kafr Zita Rd., destroying 2 pick-up trucks loaded with 23 mm machine guns and killing 17 militants during the attack. Earlier today, firefights were reported between members of the Islamic Front and SAA near the recently obstructed Morek-Khan Sheikhoun Rd. – the battle is still ongoing.
Islamic Front militants identified among the dead in Morek:
1. Ramadan Mohammad Al-Ramadan
2. Mohammad Al-Nayaf
3. Mohammad Al-Moussa
The Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces are continuing their onslaught in the village of Al-Lataminah, where they are now within 600 meters of Morek. Yesterday, the Tiger Forces launched an offensive at Tal ‘Itmeen in order to take the strategic hill overlooking the village of Al-Lataminah. The success of this operation is imperative to capturing the besieged village. The Tiger Forces led by Col. Soheil Al-Hassan and Sgt. Lu’ayy Sleitan have carried out multiple operations in west Hama, including the capture of Halfaya, Jubeileh, and Bateesh.

Jaysh Al-Islam Sends an Envoy to Damascus
According to a source close to Al-Masdar News, the Syrian Opposition militia, “Jaysh Al-Islam” (Army of Islam) has sent an envoy of dignitaries from their organization to meet with the Syrian Government in Damascus to discuss the ongoing Syrian Arab Army siege of the East Ghouta. The dignitaries comprise of village elders that represent the remaining civilian population in the city of Douma – their goal is to facilitate an agreement between the Syrian Government and Jaysh Al-Islam.
The dignitaries received the blessing of Jaysh Al-Islam leader, Zahran Alloush, to meet with members of the Syrian Government to negotiate a ceasefire in order to dissipate the violence that has engulfed this area in the Rif Dimashq Governorate.
Recently, the SAA’s advance into the Jobar District and the capture of the industrial city of ‘Adra has left Jaysh Al-Islam vulnerable to Syrian Air Force bombardments and infantry attacks.
