The FIA issued a statement saying: “The court, after having heard the parties and examined their submissions, decided to uphold the decision number 56 of the stewards by which they decided to exclude Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s car number three from the results of the 2014 Australian Grand Prix.
“The International Court of Appeal was presided over by Mr Harry Duijm (Netherlands), and included Mr Rui Botica Santos (Portugal), Mr Philippe Narmino (Monaco), Mr Antonio Rigozzi (Switzerland) and Mr Jan Stovicek (Czech Republic).”
An FIA Court of Appeal was convened yesterday in Paris to hear Red Bull’s appeal.
The FIA will publish a full reasoning for the verdict later this week.

quote:Apr.15 (GMM) F1 drivers are threatening to strike if their teams do not pay them.
Germany's Sport Bild reports that, in Bahrain recently, Kimi Raikkonen's manager Steve Robertson was seen arguing in the paddock with Lotus team boss Federico Gastaldi.
Reportedly, that is because the Finn, who switched to Ferrari at the end of last year, still has not been paid in full by Lotus for the 2013 season.
The magazine claims that Romain Grosjean, Nico Hulkenberg, Adrian Sutil and Kamui Kobayashi are all also waiting on overdue payments.
It is believed that, under the auspices of their union, the GPDA, the F1 drivers have signed a document vowing to strike if the growing trend of not being paid continues.
Sport Bild claims that Raikkonen - not a GPDA member - and one of F1's very highest earners, Lewis Hamilton, have refused to sign the document.
Hulkenberg would not comment.
"What we talk about in meetings, we keep to ourselves," said the German, who moved from Sauber to Force India for the 2014 season.
He admitted, however, that unpaid wages is an issue for the drivers.
"That's right. The teams are aware of the situation -- the driver can be easily replaced. Maybe not with the same quality, but they (the teams) do take advantage of that."
Hulkenberg also expressed some understanding for the situation of the teams.
"They are not doing it (failing to pay drivers) for fun," he acknowledged. "The money just isn't there. The sport is too expensive."
quote:Formula 1 teams are considering lifting the ban on active suspension as part of a move to control costs, AUTOSPORT has learned.
With F1's Strategy Group having decided against a cost cap, it is instead looking at alternative ways to keep spending under control.
And one of the proposals being evaluated is to allow active suspension back in F1 for the first time since 1993 (pictured).
The belief is that the electronic technology would actually be more cost effective for teams in terms of achieving the optimum car set-up than the current complicated mechanical-only systems.
The move is being considered for 2017, and could come in at the same time as a switch to 18-inch tyre rims.
AUTOSPORT understands that a number of other short and long-term proposals are being evaluated by the Strategy Group for implementation over the next few years.
They include efforts to simplify parts of the car where there is currently vast expense, including in the fuel system, crash structures, the front wing design, inter-connected front and rear suspension, and brake ducts.
There could also be tweaks to the GP weekend curfew hours and further reductions on staff numbers allowed at races.

quote:Berger, Brawn or Bell to replace Domenicali?
Within hours of Ferrari's confirmation that Stefano Domenicali has left the team, Mercedes announced its own split with technical director Bob Bell.
Irishman Bell, who worked with Fernando Alonso when the Spaniard won his titles at Renault, only joined Mercedes in 2011, so speculation he might be in line to be Domenicali's longer-term replacement at Ferrari is obvious.
Domenicali's immediate replacement is Ferrari North America chief Marco Mattiacci, who although close to Luca di Montezemolo has no experience within the F1 paddock.
It is believed Bell is staying in F1, as he will only officially leave Mercedes at the end of November. This fits with the customary 'gardening leave' served by team personnel when they switch allegiances.
Mercedes said only that he will pursue "new challenges outside the company".
But while Bell is probably not in the frame at Ferrari, F1 insiders do agree that Mattiacci's appointment is only temporary.
Autosprint correspondent Cesare Maria Mannucci suggested he will perform only "a transitional role", perhaps to eventually be replaced by Gerhard Berger.
Tobias Gruner, writing for Germany's Auto Motor und Sport, added: "The Italian rumour mill has been speculating about a return for Ross Brawn."

Wow! Professionalisme alom bij Red Bull Racingquote:Hello, Spy here. Well, hasn't it been an interesting few days? Spy is rather worn out...
Stefano Domenicali departs Ferrari to be replaced by a bloke who wears sunglasses inside the garage. Mercedes slip out news that technical director Bob Bell is spending more time with his garden and the powers in Paris have decided Daniel can't have his trophy back from Australia – which is the F1 equivalent of seeing a happy little puppy gambolling cheerfully around with a bone and then taking it away.
The big news we're digesting is that the playful scamps at Merc decided to have a good old sticky-beak at our appeal and requested we receive a three-race ban. There's a few pursed lips from our management at that but they've decided to rise above it and not comment – but down here at the coalface you can be sure we're telling out mates in the next garage along where they can shove that three-pointed star.
Actually it's quite reassuring: it means we're getting close enough to get them rattled and sweating a bit. Back in February that looked pretty unlikely. At least that's what Spy thinks: it seems we've undergone a change in the last couple of weeks. It's going to be a long time before we completely understand this car but we've gone past the stage of just trying to get it to work and are now into the stage of trying to make it go faster.
At the track that translates into cases of new bits – which is interesting because we're just getting used to the bits that we've got – but it's not exactly a new situation. The design department back in Milton Keynes is this remorseless machine that converts tea and biscuits into a never-ending stream of upgrades and go-faster stripes. At the head of that particular operation is Rob Marshall, our chief designer, sketching on napkins and wandering the floor handing them out and saying "can you make me one of these?" Rob does have a very whizzy computer but that's not really the way he rolls. He's much happier with his box of Buzz Lightyear colouring pencils and the back of an envelope.
We reckon he's gone through a lot of envelopes this week 'cos we've got lots of new stuff – it's just a shame that the weather in China isn't really playing along. The sky is what could generously be described as 'opaque'. Even when it's not raining the effect of this is very much like being inside a giant ping-pong ball. Apparently quite a lot of it is smog. In years gone by we might not have noticed but now half the garage has contracted the running bug, air quality is suddenly a big talking point.
Not that anyone needs to go for a run here. There's plenty of exercise is simply dodging the showers on the sprint from the garage to the hospitality unit. The Shanghai paddock is enormous with the buildings on stilts above a lagoon that's criss-crossed with little bridges. Even after a decade it's pretty confusing. We're thinking of handing out maps.
