AL-SUWAYDA: This area has seen little action. It’s population is largely of the Druze/Muwahiddeen sect, an offshoot of Isma’ili Sevener Shi’i Islam who drifted far from orthodox doctrine. They are a tightly-knit group who fear no death because of their belief in reincarnation.

They also confessed to killing a female from Jadl Village in Der’ah when she was staying in a village west of Al-Suwaydaa. This was committed in the early days of January2014. They were notorious for shaking people down and demanding extortion money.
It is certain they will be executed.
